the power of an hps

so i do what i do for personal and i was wondering how much area will a 150 hps cover and how many plants would you guess it could harvest. give or take. and remember i do what i do for pesonals so i dont need alot. thanks

i would think a 150 is really only enough for one plant once it gets some growth and goes into flowering. Possibly 2 plants.

you could get away w/ 3 plants,veg them till almost 12 in high so they finish20-24 in high
for a 1st grow you might get an oz off your best plant, with experiance, double that

yeah, i would go with two small indica dom plants for one one hundred watter.. keep them small, and have fun mostly.....

I am not sure about 150 watts, but...

400 Watt 2'x2'
600 Watt 3'x3'
1000 Watt 4'x4'

Now, understand that is for ideal coverage. OF course you can cover more area with less light, or use a light mover, but that is kinda a rule of thumb I learned.

i will also be using a few cfl bulbs and some florotubes along with the 150 watt hps.

I use my 150s for two plants max. actually one of my plants got so big i had to give it it's own 150. it will kind of depend on your pot size (if growing in soil). if you have smaller pots you may be able to get away with 3 plants under one 150.
