From time to time, a patient brings us some weed with seeds in it. We obviously have several options regarding deseeding or not deseeding, so what would you do?
To deseed or not to deseed, that is the question

As for the OP, how seeded are we talking here? In a quarter sack is there like 2 or 3 random seeds? or are you talking about a full on mess like some mids/regs?

i would definatly deseed, i wouldn recomend any1 smoke seeds, when i was about 15( few years back now!) i knew a couple of dudes who would roll up here seeds or pipe them,

This pot is very seedy. It was clearly grown outdoors and accidentally pollinated. I've already collected and saved about 1,000 seeds. I'm thinking about getting more from this patient, but I can't spend a million hours deseeding it. It's Mexi and could only really be used to roll joints anyhow. I'd prefer to avoid seeds in my joints... are there any super fast deseeding methods? Seeds would probably pop and crackle when burned, although I don't think there is really harm in smoking them.

i got some really seedy regs too -_- in ONE bud i counted 24 seeds.... and seeds would definitely crackle and pop..

If it's for personal use (not re-selling) then i'd just use one of those plastic grinders, as long as you don't put huge pressure on the halves, the grinder just pulls all the seeds out which can easily be taken out once you've emptied the grinder onto a flat surface. If selling on, then personally i simply wouldn't

ttt- sounds like a good idea, but I'm unfamiliar with a plastic grinder. I use a food processor grinder. Can you show me what you're talking about?

Just one of the regular cheapo acrylic grinders. Two halves with spikey bits on the inside, throw bud in, twist them in opposite directions. I had a bagseed go disasterously hermie, there were hundreds of seeds, while i still had to pick em outta the mix, i bet if i felt like it, i could sort out some sort of sieve to catch em

You advise him not to ruin his reputation with seedy buds, good point, and then you tell him it's a better bet to bag up the seeds he knows NOTHING bout, and sell those on. People would probably prefere to buy some bud and get the free bagseed than pay out for bagseed.
If the weed is being re-sold or donated or whatnot, simply state to people, this is a odnation to us, we'll sell for any price you deem fair, it has seeds. Selling an inferior product as a one off rarely ruins a reputation (from experience) so long as youu;re truthful about what it is. (for examplke if you are an organic greengrocer, and you can only get non-organic bananas one week, you simply tell people the circumstances and they more than understand

I said it's not worth ruining his reputation, BUT if he decides he still wants to buy from the guy and take the time to pull out all the seeds then he can group and pass them along. I never said anything about selling seeds he doesn't know about. He can include a pack of seeds with the bud and let the patient know where it came from. I think they would appreciate that more than if they were to take the bud home and find a shit load of seeds in it.

As i say, if you are honest with your clients, then it doesn't matter what you are offering, they have full knowledge and the option to accept or decline, only over a prolonged period does that shit ruin a reputation. This is what i have learnt from living and breathing retail sales and customer service. I don't disagree though, if he just started putting bags out there and poeple ofund that it was seeded, that WOULD be a bit of an issue

ttt- great point... and i have done just exactly that. informed patients in advance and lowered the donation price.
i have 1,000+ "Jorge Bonita" seeds. they're a strong sativa and i've grown a male from seed and i'm crossing it with Headband... i has plant semen all over it.
the grinder idea sounds like a good possibility... i've used a metal one that sounds just like the plastic one you're describing. thx

I have found the metal grinders crush everything to pieces, seeds included

with that type, due to the pyramid type spikes, you can choose the level of grind, jsutincrease or release pressure. Certinaly not too useful if we're talking pounds of the stuff though, that would take an hour or so, althouhg the return is worth it i guess.

You really shouldnt be reselling weed that is most likely grown by a mexican cartel. For one who knows what has gone into/onto that stuff and why would u ever support the cartels? Cmon man you gotta be kidding.
