We have a trailer that We used for germination, and my business partner and I built a 20,000 sqft greenhouse here’s proof! DIY to the fullest, took us 2.5 years to build! Some pictures will not upload and I had given y’all a walk through of the final product but it won’t load either… But definitely not a bot just a hard worker that is willing to ask for help! And I thank all of you that answered, much appreciated

I have kicked around the idea of building a small greenhouse like this, but my yard is completely surrounded by woods with tall trees and lots of branches and I feel like it would just be exhausting trying to maintain it just from stick damage. Lol

you’re definitely correct, it has been lots of work and lots of tweaking and learning but we’ve finally got it all figured out. Ya know

No this is our only one. Sorry, blue prints are for 20k sf but we stopped at 10k to get some plants in there and growing. the other 10k will added in the rear where the tree line is in the picture. 2023 goals.

Single poly doesn't do much for insulation. Add another layer of poly with a forced airgap between the two layers, and you're in business. You also want as high of a roof as possible, which is why most folks build angled roofs above the sidewalls.

When we first planned out our build we thought about the two layer forced airgap but the way we had to tack the plastic down made it impossible because its not one continuous piece. Have you done the double insulation? how does it handle punctures?

I haven't done one myself, but I know the insulation ratings on single poly are quite poor. With double poly, you can get the similar r-ratings as twin-walled polycarbonate.
