too crowded?

16" x 9" flood table


can i get away with 4" rockwool cubes, like 6-8 plants in a flood table?


or would it be overcrowded?


i have 4 trays 16"x9"

or do overcrowded situations not matter when good ventilation, lollipop'n/lst/net trellis are in effect?

You'll have to put them in flower when they're pretty small, but you should be able to do 6-8.

I just put 10 little girls into flower in about 10 X 24. They're only like 3-4 inches tall right now. we'll see how badly they get rootbound....

im thinking AT least 12" before i put them into flower...

Yeah - but with height comes width, adequate space for roots etc...

As well as you need some air circulation - if it's too crowded, they can't breath / transpire properly. Bud squishes against Bud - Mold grows. All kinds of bad.

Mylar is prefered, but white paint works nearly as well.

naw...i figured whas preferred...but i was talking about because of the issues in this closet that im building...should i mylar it...or paint it? which is better for venting?


and trust me....imma have the ventilation situation down.... i just would like to know that if my ventilation and lst/nettrellis are in tact and working flawlessy.... i shouldnt have a problem with them being so close right?

if you grow them to 12"before flowering you will have major problems,you may be alright if you flower at 6"i wouldnt go past that.

why couldnt i flower at 12" ? even if i have the height?

because with height comes width and that is what you dont have they become bushes,what is the highest you have flowered,and do you remeber how thick they became,what you want to do is trying to get out more then you can and will end up with less,believe me.

is there a ratio? if it grows 12'' will it grow half that in width, like 6'' or so. i would think it depends on the light watts and area u put it in? im thinking of growing 4 plants in two 3x5 area. one for veg and another for flowering. would you think it would be possible to flower 4 plants under a 400 watt HPS, and veg my mothers and daughters under a 2 bulb 2''-4'' Florencent.

i think 9 inches and cut alot of the under growth? clones maybe isnt that sog ? I have no idea what your room looks like but you could try bigger just cut hard under growth

haha... i figured out my dilemma since i posted this....


still finishing and running trials and such...


but my remedy is to just lollipop like shit and make sure my ventilation is top notch, flawless.... i think i have finally found the fans that suit my needs (ultra quiet and mass air flow)

i have a couple of flood trays 16" x 8" and im tryna squeeze like 4-5 small clones in each tray for perp harvest...running fresh air underneath the canopy along with lollipop remedies my problem....or so i hope!!!

so how tall did you go with those bitches? thats where my cold outside air goes cause it comes from the floor!

they only are given like 20 inches to grow bushy (which is what i dont want)
