top leaves turning white and crispy

hey all,

seems the newer growth at the top is turning this whitish color and are a little crispy. think it might be nute-lock but wanted to hear the opinions of more esteemed growers

just started 5th week of flowering
LA Con from clone
400W HPS in tent
FFOF + FF lineup incl. soluables
waterings sat and wed, with nutes on sat (currently on beastie bloom, been using the included FF sched)

pH has been a recurring problem, keeps trying to stay at ~8 or high 7. last few waterings I've been pH downing the water to ~5 to hopefully bring the pH down to a 6. my thinking is that it's a pH problem cuz it's too high? and some of the middle leaves are turning brown on the outside and curling down like a talon... can anyone help me out?

oh, and i just got some bushdoctor sledgehammer to use on my next watering (tomorrow) to see if that'll help...

it looks like nute burn, dial back the nutrients a little bit, if they are turning white also how close are your lights, that could be light bleaching from the light being to close, but that last pic is def nute burn

Yepper.. I just experienced the same thing.. I moved the light a bit higher, and even dialed my 1000 back to 75%

thx guys... lifted the light up a bit and doing a flush with sledgehammer tomorrow which will hopefully clear things up

i bleached the shit out of my plants one time with a 600...it was bad lol i was inexperienced still had good weed tho,

I have white curling leaves, that look bleached.. did you cut yours off, or how did you get it to finish til harvest. I dont have any more room in my tent to raise the light.. so I may have to move it to another room, with a higher ceiling.. my leaves are soooo messed up..I hope the plant can recover

Kind of a rule of thumb if you put your had a few inches above the top of the plant and it bothers you must raise the light.

Yuppers this is good advice.

Looks like they could use a big dose of some cal/mag as well. JMO.
