topping for 2 colas?

hey guys i am a first timer and am growing 2 arjans ultra haze 2 the old greenhouse seeds that have like 23 thc i would like to get two colas so i can do CCOB later as it looks the most rewarding yield and great for space restrictions like mine!!so heres a pic of my 2 babys just wondering when i can top them and where exactly.im a noob.i still havent started em on nutrients yet just phed water and root stimulator so far.think nutrients soon??and shud i transfer em to a bigger pot asap?

you can top them right now but according to uncle ben thread it is best to top them when they develop 5 nodes or more.

I would top them anytime after four nodes. Five is probably best.

I would top them as soon as they are healthy enough, regardless of how many nodes they have.
If they grow strong and can take some stress - top them.

And don't count on 23% THC. Thats.. funny.

The sooner you move to bigger pots the faster the plants will grow.

Looks like you're going to get 6 tops right now. If you're going for 2, cut everything above the first 2 branch starts. Those 2 bottom branches will grow out and become your 2 top colas.

If you have the room for more plants, pop those tops that you cut off into some soil to root them. They may not always take, but if they do, you're going to have clones of the plants you clipped them from (and hopefully those will be girl plants). I was lucky to have cloned the top of my only female, so I ended up with two girls instead of only one!

If this is your first grow I wouldn't do any of those advanced techniques. A single main cola plant is a beautiful thing.But its too late now.

Looks like you got it this time! Good luck...just give them a week and you'll see them bounce back nicely with new colas starting.

Dude, sorry I took so long to get back to you. Manditroy called it already, but yeah, you got it. Give a few days for them to bounce back from the stress of topping and you'll have a two-headed lady in your garden. Congrats!

@NoDrama; I don't call topping an "advance technique".

As for cloning, its easier to just put the cutting in a glass of soft water (bottled water or something like that).
In soil they need a humidity dome to root properly.
