transplanting shock

Because of limited space, I'm starting vegetative out with 1 gallon pots. But once I get rid of the males, I want to move the females to 2-3 gallon pots. How could I transplant the females so they experience as little shock as possible?

Depends on what kind of pots you are using. i usually use "big gulp" from 7 eleven. it is best to use pots you can tear and remove the soil as one piece, so you dont have to dig.

even buying those 1gal water jugs from wal mart works. what pots are you using?

I water them and push down the soil. Then I turn it upside down and slowly slide the whole thing of dirt out.

I just put my fingers around the stem, flip it over, and give the bottom a few taps with my other hand. Pops right out:eyesmoke:.

after you water crinkle the pot, make it slightly not round and that should break it loose then turn em upside down let em slide out and make sure the medium you transplant them to is pre watered. this will help. Also make it quick and smooth no smoke breaks, or nothing else stay focused and everything should go well regardless.

nice pic AhighPIPER but i think mine are going to be more developed and more bushy than that one. Will that method still work for larger plants?
