Tropical Storm Helene

We’ve got a bad storm rolling through and I don’t want my late stage plants to mold up. Should I got for an early harvest or should I try to move them under the porch and ride the weather out? I’m worried the RH combined with rain and wind is going to create issues.

They are calling for 6 to 12 inches here by end of the weekend. Has been raining since night before last. Mine are halfway thru so they're gonna have to ride this out.

Next break in rain I get I'm doing some support work. Some are bending and twisting way too much for my liking.

Hope y'all get through this just fine.

Hope yall ride it out in good spirits as well. I probably should add some supports my girls are bent over a good bit.

I covered Betty lastnight. Glad I did. She's to far in to risk it and not far along to chop........

Painters plastic works great in a pinch. I threw up 6, poles all around her. Put two longer ones right down the middle by her trunk and threw the plastic over and tied the corners to some poles. Working like a charm. She's dry and it's been coming down pretty good.

I think the plastic will shed the rain, but incur more humidity and possibly mold. I am new so take this with a grain of salt, but I would chop early as opposed to mold and/or bud rot. JMO. sorry:neutral:

Rain over tonight. Plastic coming off in the morning. Even with the plastic on she's still got some airflow moving through her. Hoping for the best it's all we can do.

Excellent. "All you can do is what YOU think is right at the time". Everybody else is just giving an opinion after being asked "what would you do". Wishing you all the best.
