Trunk split - right down the middle

Phuck!!

So I havent even had time to take pics yet... will get to that later today.

Basically my one female out of four plants, which was doing absolutely amazing until last night, is sitting about 3' tall and 4' wide. I topped her roughly four weeks ago, and trained the two upper shoots down using LST.

Well I've been slowly increasing the tension every week or so hoping to bring it down so I dont outgrow my space. Last night I got a little greedy with the tension and the main trunk split right down the middle from the pressure. I stopped before it got TOO far, but it ran down the trunk about 2 inches maybe more.

So, I took some black fabric tape, wrapped it up as best I could and ran some supports for the two uppers, hopefully taking some pressure off the wound.

She was still alive and kicking this morning, with very slight signs of wilting. Anyone have any input on whether they've seen a plant pull through something like this? I would hate to lose those two upper branches. Also, any ideas on how long something like that takes to heal?

I've dealt in horticulture for a long time now, and somewhere in the back of my brain I recall someone telling me to put something on that type of split/break... Honey? Anyone know of anything that will help seal the wound?
