Hi i have an apartment with a room designed to be used as a laundry room its about 5'x6'x8' it has a dryer exaust hookup and i was wondering if i set up a 400 watt hps/mh in an ac hood if i could exaust the air out of the dryer exaust? and if im using a carbon filter to would i hook it up by the plants and have ducting going to the light then ducting out the other end to the fan? and does the fan itself sit in the grow room and cool it with the grow rooms air? and will the top ac/heat vent be an okay passive intake? sry for all the questions im new to the grow scene!

Nahh homie... With a 400W HPS you will probably need a High velocity inline fan and a glass sealed reflector. Then again just get the light and see what the root temperature is after setting it up, a optimum and efficient grow room takes much tweaking! Just keep modding until you fit your budget and results.
