Two day seed germination vs. straight to dirt

I started last Tuesday 1/22 with 11 indica dominate seeds, I was worried about starting all 11 thinking if things go bad I'll be back to the wait for the seeds to arrive thing all over again. I took 5 and did the paper towel and plate method for 48hrs. Took apeek and small tap roots were visable on a few of the seeds. I planted em Thursday in plastic 16oz party cups that were drilled with four holes on the bottom and two close to the bottom on opposite sides filled with 25% perlite and fox farm Ocean Forest. Plastic wrap and rubber band tops. Placed under a shop dual bulb flo. cool white 40watt bulbs. I also planted at same time the remaining 6 straight to the dirt and covered with plastic wrap and rubber bands and under the bulbs the went. Saturday am. the first germinated seed broke ground, by Sat. PM. all 5 were up. The first ungerminated seed broke the surface Sunday and finished Monday afternoon with a perfect total of 11 all up and going.. Here are some pic's today Tuesday 1/29

Okay things seem to be somewhat ontrack, pics are seven days from seed one is non germinated other is 48hrs.. holding my breath for now, I've learned from past disasters things that go bad usually go bad real quick.

1000 watts should do it. What kind of space you workin with? Are you going to switch to 12/12 when you put the hps on em?

those little babies are looking good, if you transplant into three gal pots in a week you should make sure you dont overwater cause thats a huge pot for those little guys!

hey thanks for the info... I'd like to only transplant once and considering a veg. height of about 18inch what size pot would you suggest?

Really you want a gallon for every month it will be alive. You might want to invest in a couple CFLs or T5s for veg since those shop lights are kinda weak. And with 11 ft ceilings you could let them get bigger than 18 inches if you wanted.

Today is my two week birthday from seed... I am looking forward to transplant and 1000w hps therapy. What size pot should I consider? I'd perfer only to transplant once.. considering a 2.5-3 gal size..

might wanna put em under the 1000 watter right now, you could if you want, ur plants have their first set of true leaves, so they are strong enough to handle the light, they wont stretch as much as what they potentially could under the flouro. just a suggestion though, plants looking good man!
