Type of Prison for growing?

Hey all, question. If you are caught growing pot in a non-legalized state, would you get sentenced to a minimum, medium or max security prison? Also how much time would you get (please don't link norml, I'm looking for a bit more credible sources) for growing like 10 or 15 plants, just enough for you to smoke, not distribute?

With out a too bad prior record it's a year for manufacturing for personal consumption in my state....I'm sure it's probably different state to state .

Edit : medium security to start out then transfer to minimum security

Much of that is going to vary from state to state. What you have to watch out for is Mandatory sentence guidelines and then stay under them. For instance one state in particular has mandatory sentencing at anything 10 plants and over.
I doubt you'd be lookin at like Maximum Security or anything But hell gettin locked up is gettin locked up.

It really depends what state and how your zoned

And most non medi states have a much lesser (unofficial) cut off # b4 it's considered intent to distribute ie 3 r 4 plants
That aside it all depends how your charged which in turn can depend souly on your arresting officer (ie the varying degrees of douche bag that pigs personality's tend towards)

Hell said pigs mood or day can be all the difference

A lot of Counties in CA have a plant limit of 6, anything over could get you busted.

many counties in ca have a total ban on outdoor growing....1 plant could get you busted.

It also depends on the judge and his mood. Also the district attorney. I was in circuit court with a buddy of mine circa 2011. There was a kid in there who got popped with 6 plants. Look @ TN laws and you'll see that's a big no no. The judge is being a comedian that day. This particular guy should have his own tv show at this point. So defendant is being questioned by the judge and stuff before sentencing and kid just started up business school. The judge laughed and said if he wants to be in that sort of business he should move out to California. Case was dropped after he got heckled for a few minutes. What's shit about it is thY the same judge hit me for around 1800 total for simple possession a decade prior. The guy he was dealing with right before me clipped him in the jaw with a right hook cause apparently he was pissed off and throwing maximums at everyone that day. So it all just really depends on who in the end of the legal chain you're having to deal with and if they woke up to either a blowjob or a flat tire before going to work. The golden rule though is no smell no tell. Most people get busted due the fact they tell someone, then they tell someone. Then so on. Remember its not who YOU trust 100% its who THEY trust 100%.

Or u could move to a medical state. Get ur card n don't waste your money and time to result in being caged. Just my thought

You can google past cases similar to what your worried about, in your state and you'll get a better idea of realistic punishments in your area. As @Cobnobuler said it differs from state to state and some have maximum plant numbers and many states have pretty much a no tolerance law where if your busted they go by weight. Not just the buds, the whole plant roots and all and determine punishments by total weight and whether there was intent to distribute or not. Good Luck
