Unusual problem......

Wow no. Could something have nibbled on them in bud? cn

<edit> If not bugs, I'm stumped. i have a Nirv WW that has real trouble filling out interveinally, but not to the point of holes.

I've been growing for many years and have never seen anything like it.....and again, it's not bugs.

Looks like perhaps the plant (or seeds) were irradiated (pure speculation)... definitely mutant as no cannabis bug I know of does damage like that.

I have a room full of plants......it only at the top around the main cola. Many plants show nothing, 2 are bad, and a few it's just starting........overall health on all the plants is good.

I'm using a few things I've never used before and was wondering if one of these cause the issue.........

1. SNS 209

2. Snowstorm Ultra

3. Grotek Pro-Silicate

Someone at another site sent me a link to someone who was having a very similar problem.......at this point, I'm guessing it's cause by the Grotek silicate product. I'll stop using it for a while and see if things improve. Any other comments will be appreciated.......

That's not good whatsoever, but good luck with it.

Is that hydro or hempy?

I have seen ph way off on my hempy do that.
I phd at what I thought was 5.5-6.0

Run off was closer to 8

New growth was ywisty and had some like that as well.

I hope u resolve it.

In pro mix.....my pH is always perfect at 6.4-6.5. Not over fertilization as I've been running at 1000 ppm. It's only at the top of a few plants, which tells me it's probably a "burn" of some sort. Again, I'm flushing tonight and will cease using the silica for a week or two. I pinched off the worse of the leaves (just a few). The earlier guess of a virus would have been my guess too but I'm 80% sure it's over fertilization of the silica. My other room plants are perfect with no signs of any issues. This room always gets a higher dose of ferts, which leads me back to the silica. The SNS 209 is all natural and the Snowstorm I applied once at a minute dose so I'm sure that's not it. Thanks everyone......

It might be broad mites as they screw up new growth sometimes, and cant be seen on the leaf always as they hide where the sprouts come from I think...?

The grotek is high Potassium, but that damage isn't even severe P tox.. so there's something else there in the mix. I may get some and run a few tests.

Could be silica burn, that could be what mine was too as I had the exact same thing with some weird twisting as well, and only on new leaves
