when switching to 12/12 for flower i always keep my veg nutrients going with the flower nutes and cut the veg nutes down gradualy.
was having a discussion with a friend and he says he just goes straight from using the veg nutes and as soon as he gets pistils he stops the veg nutes altogether and uses only his flowering nutes

we both never had any problems with these methods just wondered what way others do it

I think you can go either way because the plant still has some of the veg nutes in it when you start the flowering phase. It's not like the plant automatically stops taking in veg nutes and opens up to flowering when you want it to.

If only plants were that easy to control.

I think you can use either nute schedule, but I tend to stop the veg nutes when I begin the flowering phase. I think it shocks the plants (along with the light change) to turn to a new phase of growing.

Or it could just be me....LOL

I slowly taper off my vegg nutes and increse my flower nutes at the same time.

Caution too much N in flowering will prolong/delay your flowering time
