VEG Room

Do i still need to circulate air in the veg room? Bring in fresh air and fresh air out like the flower room? Will i need a carbon filter for this room. Ive seen some people do veg rooms witout a carbon filter, Just ran a fan w ducting on the lights. any opinions?

Watsupbud: a lot of what you're asking has a lot to do with how stealthy you want to be and how healthy you want your plants to be. Weed stinks, and some people are more sensitive about it. The odor becomes noticeable when they start vegging and it gets worse when they start flowering. Curiously they stink worse at night. Not a pleasant thing for some people to wake up to.

Yes, your plants need fresh air. Ideally you want to change the air in your grow room every three to five minutes. That means you'll need some kind of a ventilation fan and you'll want to filter the stink out as the air leaves.

That can also bring up the issue of noise. Some fans are whisper quiet but others are as noisy as a drier full of nickles. You might want to visit your local hydro store or look on line at places like discounthydroponics.com. I'm lucky enough to live close by and they have a pretty decent selection. What ever you do, have them plug it in and turn it on in the store if you can to see what it's going to sound like having that thing running while you're trying to sleep.

in case you buy an inline fan:

a lot of fans of different sizes will use pretty much the same amperage.
I know on Active Airs and CAP ValuLines, the 4", 6" and 8" all use like 1 amp on 120v.
This means they all suck 120w. To deal with noise, just buy a bigger fan and run it on a speed controller. A bigger fan running on lower RPMs will be quieter and still give you the same amount of airflow.

This also gives you the option to upgrade later.

And yes, your veg room needs fresh air. Whether or not to use a carbon filter is up to you.

Thanks bro... What about a nice good odor resistant carbon filter? ne good brands?

Ideally if you can yes, good air circulation is all part of the parcel when it comes to healthy plants.

Need to your veg plants to be strong and as healthy as possible , to get the best results in flower.

Tho I would say you could prob get away with an out-take fan and an oscillating fan for a veg if you really had to.

Yea for best growth exchange the air in veg as well, they need the C02. A little tip would be to put a pair of pantie hoes on the intake (always felt like a weirdo buying these, because children's work best for the size) they will stop bugs from entering the grow rooms.
I would probably skip on the charcoal filter for the veg room, but HSA makes a good point, they do start to smell a bit in veg, just not nearly as bad as flower, so it really boils down to your budget. Safety is number one though!
