VeryNewbie grower in quebec/ontario

i live on the border of quebec/ontario, close to Ottawa.

i live close to a big forest and some fields that are about a 10 minute walk. nobody goes there, it used to be old farmers fields i think, like 100 years ago.

so basically i wanna start growing outdoors, my parents would "probably" be angry at me for growing weed, and by "probably", i mean, most definatly.

but anywho, i see opportunity. i got my own car, my own place to grow.

i can find outdoor seeds, so next summer im planning to grow somewhere outdoors, what do i do? i get the seeds? i plant them? huh is that it? i know i need nutrients somehow!

anyone got any links to any threads about something like my situation? ill check aruond the forums, but any guides or anything to growing outdoors is appreciated!

diga hole place a binliner size plastic, bag. fill with perlite and good compost, unless the muck thats in the fields ok, place small pebbles stones/rocks in the bottom for goo drainage. make sure you start indoors till there about 4/5 weeks, so there not to small, a slug can eat a baby plant in 2 mins. theres a vid. but i cannot remember the name. that man who grows outdoors, anyone help out with the thread.

weather right now in ottawa is nuts!!!! so much snow. im soo happy im not there.

hmm so i need to start indoors hmm. well if a baby slug can eat a plant in 2 minutes, then what hapens when an army of slugs attack my fully grown plant

i dont know about slugs....but i do know about snails....
