Water filters

I'm in need of a cheap r/o system for plants only. I intend to use Sensi Coco Ph perfect so I need the water to be low ppm BUT not change the ph too much. The ph perfect stuff seems to like a neutral ph in the source water. The ph perfect doesnt work in distilled water but works great in Zero pitcher water. So im trying to get something that doesn't filter quite so low. I'm thinking I want something like 50ppm 7.0 ph water that I don't have to change out every 20 gallons. Or share your thoughts on what you are liking for water filters. Is a dechlorinator and deseditment filter "small boy" enough for the ph perfect? thanks for your time!

reverse osmosis will bring the ppm under 50
if you want 50ppm, you need to cut the RO with a bit of tap ..

chlorine is another story. dechlorinator will not really bring the ppm down .. conductivity of your water is mainly calcium carbonate
dechlorinate is for bennies/organic grows
this is your case?

beware of cal or mag deficiency
even soft water nutrient formulations usually do not contain enough calcium, even if they say this is the case

with RO is use cal-mag complement in my booster, it helps if you use co2 and relatively high RH

They have cheap under the sink ro systems at the hardware store and ebay and Amazon. My ppm went from 300 to 9ppm the collection tanks are a little small but you can change them. Easy to set up yourself

I'm not sure how much to filter. Is it possible to get RO water that is ph of 6.5 without adjustment? Ideally I want my pure ro to be good for seedlings and give me that extra growth rate Ive observed with other low ppm water sources. I have a Sour Diesel Auto finishing up now that looks awesome, well the bud does, but the leaves look like a first grow. My ph has never been dialed in throughout the grow, while I have been trying learn how to use PH perfect Sensi Coco. Which I can't tell where my extra size came from. (Fancy nutes or fancy water) I wanted to try RO water before I returned all my Sensi Coco fertilizer. Sucks i seem to have found the only 2 water sources their ph balancers do not work well with. The grow formula had to have distilled water or else I would get twisting. Then I have the opposite with the bloom, in distlled the bloom gave me a ton twisting so I had to switch to a filtered water pitcher as a temporary work around.

Anyways, do you think this Micro Ro setup would be good enough? What do you think of the de-ionizer? This is for garden only as I have something else for human water. I want the best water I can afford for my 6 plant medical garden.

No, I'm traditional bottle nute user. I have AN Sensi Coco and thinking of going back to pure blend pro with cal mag plus. I wanted to try ro water before i returned my AN Sensi Coco to the hydro shop.

I recommend APEC water systems RO-90, after installation excellent water quality. For me the installation was extremely simple and easy to follow.

One thing to watch out for is the product to waste water ratio, if you care about that sort of thing.

I just bought and setup a 4 stage water saver unit from BRS, and I can fill up my whole 17 gal top off res in less than 2 hours at a 1:1.5 water:waste ratio.

I bought a cheap ro from amazon. I don't need more than a gallon a day usually, I bought a 10 gal trash can and just keep it filled.
I don't have a ton of ro for bubble hash, but plenty for my small garden.
I run the waste outside, the grass grows real well there, which makes me wonder what is so bad about what I'm filtering out?

Gets me from 400ec to 12ish though.

If you get the ro deals meant for your drinking water, make sure to take off the re-mineralization filters after the ro membrane. Or you will be right back where you started, but prob higher ph.

I ended up teeing off a hose before the DI stage and it gets me about 5-10 ppm drinking water. The last stage gets is to 0 no problem starting from 260.
