Weed left on the table and smell possesion

Hi, yesterday I was smoking at my place when suddenly the door bell rang. I live in quebec canada but i have a name that is arabic sounding but im not arab, im a quebecer born here. Yesterday 2 muslims came to my door and (i guess they found my name in the phonebook and thought i was arab or something and wanted me to be part of their religion) and when i answred one of them was looking inside and there was 5g of weed on the table and he saw it. Also it was smelling as i had just finished smoking one. I told them i was not interested in anything and they left. Could i be in trouble because he saw weed on the table and also for the smell??

So if i understand correctly, police need to find the weed themselves or else they cannot do anything? Im just asking out of curiosity, can someone be in trouble even if they dont find any weed? Lets say I show off a bag with a half o in front of everyone in the streets, even then the police wouldnt be able to do anything? Wouldnt they be able to use the testimony of the people that saw me flash the bag?

but yes.. HEARSAY doesnt hold up much.. it can start an investigation into it.. but they cannot just come and kick your door in with a warrant lol. maybe a knock an talk.. just bring your keys with to the door so u can lock up .. walk outside.. and talk to them there if they come..
