what is the best HID bulb?

Price performace and production? Which bulb is your fav? Right now I'm currently running the bulbs that came with my lamp... 400w ipower.. bulbs aren't that bad, but feel a bulb change maybe in order for the next cycle...

I use 2 Digilux 1 mh 1 hps and 2 hps lumateks for flower and a digilux mh for veg. sure the Hortilux is supposed to be the best but if you don't mind paying that kind of money for a bulb go for it but the 2 brands I use aint too far behind imo.

Well I'm not fooled into thinking the best is the highest cost bulb. Just looking for experienced opinions like yours. Is there a noticable differance in yeild?

only with the MH light it yields slightly less but the plants in the middle of the mh and hps always do better even from clones yet they are the furthest from the lights so I hooked it up to an adjust-a-wing reflector and the rest are in air cooled hoods 2 hydro farm radiant and 1 sun system block buster not the cheapest reflectors on the market but imo a good reflector is more important then a good bulb as the cheap reflectors that came with my first 2 lights had terrible coverage and definitely sacrificed yield but they did the trick.
