what ph should i be shooting for to water and feed and all that jazz

organic soil just checking what an optimum ph would be so i can try to make that happen

i use organic soil .. keep the ph of my water 5.8 to 6.2 .. works well for me ..

and make sure your waters ph is at around 7.5. prefferably at 7.5.

for optimal nutrient root intake you want a PH of 6.8 for soil, now thats the PH of your soil + water/nutrients as the PH of the water will be adjusted by your soil when you put it in, so if you've got a soil PH of like 5.0, you are going to be hitting your head against a wall dealing with deficiencies, but if your soil is around the 6.8 and you keep your water/nutes around the same, you will be good

so i need to go get a soil ph tester? any cheap ways to do this i spent 30 on a water ph tester and the girl at the garden store was trying to talk me into the 120 dollar one telling me "im so excited i just got mine yesterday" yea right aha..either way whats a cheap way to ph my soil please and thank you

i just ph the runoff and adjust my water .. not an exact way i'm sure but works for me

If you add dolomite lime to your 'organic' soil, there is no need to pH anything. I don't.

Soil pH testers are usually crap and the water tester you have is fine, much better.

Wet
