What type of light do you recommend for clones/mother.

I plan to have about 7 clones under the light at once, I know I'd need some sort of LED light just not sure what wattage etf.

Also the mother plant? Would that go under a 400 watt HPS or could I stick it under the LED light too?

I use a HO T5 light for my clones and mothers and it works great. Little heat and power consumption. The only downside is there isn't a lot of light penetration so I try to keep them as short as possible. Been experimenting with LST. I think a 400w HPS is a better flowering light than a veg light. 400w MH is great for veg. I'm not a huge fan of LEDs but my buddy grows some nice vegging plants under a LED and flowers with 2 600w HPS.

Screw an LED. Too expensive still. Heed the advice on T5 fluorescent. Excellent results vegging if you provide enough watts.

On the Cheap... CFL or Flos
Either one will do the veg job for your clones and mother.
