What would you do?

Hey all, I found out my leaf issues is most likely due to having a fooked up ph pen... it was reading about .8 higher than it should.
I got a new ph and have tested my run off which is 5.1. I am growing in coco so would like this to be atleast 5.5! What would you do to correct this? Pic of leaf for reference

Feed with properly adjusted nutrient solution with 10-20% runoff. I set it at 6 myself which is what I always run in coco.

Sweet I do always give 10-20% run off anyway. Is it worth flushing to get it back to what I need quickly? They are nearly 80 days since seed.

Also, how do you test ph as I calibrated both my pens to the same but when testing the feed, it gives different reading by about .5

I would just worry about what goes in. It will get where it needs to be in just a couple waterings.

Oh I don't know. Those are both pretty inexpensive pens. Either one could be off. You really need to get a better pH pen if you're going to be doing coco. I'd say take the average between the 2. I don't know what else to say. I wouldn't trust either of those pens.

I thought you may say something along those lines :) can you recommend a decent, reliable one who ships to UK? I fed today and did the ph between both. As I always need to ph down, I realised something wasn't right when I was adding over 15 drop of ph down when at the beginning I'm sure it was only around 5 or so. Fed today like I said and I added around 7 drops of ph down

I use a Bluelab myself. They have them on Amazon UK


This one is more economical but still a decent product.

Yeah, that's the catch. A hobby plant still needs pro equipment and pro knowledge if you want pro results. And at that point 2 plants might as well be 4 or 6 plants. Then all of the sudden you have a warehouse with 200 lamps and your screaming at your employees about how they could go back to McDonalds if they don't want to follow your corporate dress code by tucking in their weed leaf work shirts.

You don't have to break the bank to grow weed. I used the drops for years when I was doing hydro and never had any pH issues. The drops are cheap and reliable. I'd probably still be using them but my eyes are not what they used to identify the different colors so a probe with a digital readout is a requirement for me these days.

I'm talking more overall. And growing indoors really. You can grow outdoors for practically nothing if you're resourceful. The lights, the medium, the nutrients, pots, hoses, pumps ect ect. It doesn't cost much more to grow a 4x4 than it does to grow one plant. And sure you can get away with cheap meters, but eventually it will die or screw you over. How many of them are you going to buy until it's no longer "cheap?" Plus the convenience factor. You can use PH strips, but eventually you'll just want to stick a contraption in the water and get a readings. Some people try to bypass the expense of timers, but that never works out. It's just a lot of stuff to buy, regardless if it's from a hobby or for commercial purposes.
