What's with the extras?

I have only put one in the geurilla way and haven't found profound setbacks in germinating in soil instead of a paper towel or hardening off (put her right outside desrtish climate).

can anyone explain the reason behind either of these methods?

germinating in a water cup or paper towel is good for the not so fresh seeds. from what I've read most people have better results germinating then planting. I myself germinate in a cup of distilled water for 24hours then put them in the paper towel then in a Tupperware bowl for another 24-48 hours.

I just drown them bitch ass seeds in a cup until i see root, then put them in the medium. time fluctuates. and i only do this to "weed" out the bad seeds, hahaha.

^Yep, soak them till they pop open, then just 1/2 under the surface and a couple of days, here they come. Badass process if I say so myself. :weed:

I plant them directly in soil. I moisten the soil and put a plastic baggie with a corner cut off over the cup and in 3 or so days they pop. When I first started I did the whole paper towel thing until I realized it was an unnecessary step.
