Hello all. This is my first post so bear with me. When will a bud mature to far? I've heard that at some point it will over mature and lose potency. I'm asking this because my white widow is now flushing and 100% milky, however it is suddenly getting new growth. I mean new white hairs and little bud kernels on existing buds. Gained maybe 10% in 2 days. I want this to continue but quality is my main concern. Any advise would be appreciated.

Not a pro but from what I know, when hairs on it start to change color say about 70% or use a magnifyer and look at the crystals same concept. Hope this little bit helps.

hair color has nothing to do with maturity. look at trichomes under a 30x mgnifier. if they are fat at the top and milky inside they are ready, if they have small tops and are clear, it still needs time to mature
Secondary growth is common late in a grow as is hermies, I'd harvest, the amber trichs is old school all white is perfect (I like about 20 % clear still myself)

when trichs are 50 % opaque or milky anything more potency is reduced

i agree with frmrboi. the longer you go the more chance for a little hermie sac to show. some strains just do this.
