Hi, just got a quick question, i have a 70 watt security light with a metal halide bulb or a hps bulb i can put in and I have a holder for an envirolite, i need to buy a bulb tho 125 watt will be best as its just a small stealth grow for myself. Am i right in thinking the best combination of bulbs for flowering would be a red bulb for the envirolite and the hps bulb in my security light.

i will be growing blue cheese lsting them, vedging for about 2 or 3 weeks and using bubbleponics. cheers

I'd go with a blue enviro light if using HPS as well. This will balance out the spectrum and increase the density and potency of the buds. Ideally you'll want around 25-33% of your light to be blue in flower.

However, a 70w HPS lamp is quite small and you will probably need more light. You can use two red enviros and one blue, or get 150-200w HPS and stick with the 125 blue enviro.

i suppose i could go upto 200watts, if i ddi this would it be better to go red on the enviorlite and use the metal halide bulb on the 70watt, I already have the security light with both bulbs and one envirolite holder so im trying to spend as little as possible ie just buy an envirolite bulb

Oh, missed the MH bulb part in your first post. :eyesmoke:

This configuration sounds good to me. MH puts out quite a bit of UV, helps with potency from what I hear. ;-)
