Been using HLG for years. I won't buy knockoffs because I dislike company's that steal trademarked names and intellectual property and I'd rather support companies that build with high quality parts and have great customer service. They cost more than the knockoffs, but I try to let my values guide my wallet. Plus Steven is an awesome dude.

Oh trust me if I could afford HLG I definitely would. I more than likely will be investing in HLG for my next grow and for the future. This is my first go at it so I opted not to drop a fortune.

They really aren't that bad if you buy the kits and put them together yourself. At least compared to their plug and play lights. But probably still more than the knockoffs. How big of a space are you trying to light?

I don’t want to jack OP’s thread, my tent is 2x4x5.
I don't think we are hijacking the thread considering we are discussing exactly what the OP asked about. Anyway, good luck with your grow (my current run is a flaming dumpster rolling down a crowded street due to some serious soil problems) and if you haven't already gotten this advice, go a little heavy on the calmag with qb style leds.

Hey I always just like to make sure! Man I have learned that lesson the hard way I think. I watered yesterday and switched to tap water, my two loved it! Will be using tap from now on, lesson learned. Good luck to you too my friend!

Spider Farmer use Samsung Diodes and MeanWell driver. Upgrade with dimmer knob and multi-connect function.

It’s not really a fortune more to buy hlg lighting just compare the prices of the kit, it is easy to assemble. I am working on a comparison grow with a Mars ts1000 and an hlg135 rspec, and the cost difference between them is only 50$

I have a small HLG150 in a 2.5x2.5 foot tent ant I LOVE it! I had one clone that wasn't doing much and then I added that light in the tent and it "woke" it up. (Not sure if that was coincidence or not) It is small and quiet and it was only about $150 on Amazon.
