Why is general hydroponics on closeout

May not have anything to do with gh. Close out could be its not selling or the retailer is having issues with business. A couple places around here have a going out of business sale every year for the past 10 lol

Every online vendor i deal with are constantly putting items on sale. Weekly sales, daily sales, monthly sales, holiday sales
Online purchase sales etc. Still doesn't necessarily mean it has anything to do with gh. And of course it doesn't mean it doesn't either..

Possible the store has rebates based on how much they sell with a certain supplier, so if they are getting close to their target sales and the deadline is approaching, they put on sale to move the product and get money back from the vendor. Common practice in other industries. It is the end of the month too.

Grow green buys shit in bulk when company’s need to move product and then they end up collecting dust. Then they blow it or the brand reformulates or changes label. And at the store they have pallets full of shit at deep discounts that they can’t sell.

But back to GH. I noticed the feed chart for the Flora line changed w the dry koolbloom being replaced by Ripen. I had to check my old one on the wall too confirm. And I did read a post that formula changed but cannot confirm the truth of that post.
Hopefully someone has some info on this.

Just like the clearance section at Kroger it is probably getting close to the expiration date
So time to clear and restock

I want to re-ask the question:
Anyone know why the dry koolbloom was replaced w Ripen on the flora line feed chart?

Gen hydro was bought by mankind’s best friend Monsanto in 2018. They aren’t making any grow systems anymore, and I sent an email to them last month asking about spare parts for one of my systems and they told me they didn’t sell any of that anymore. They still had a nice big “Hawthorne’s” letterhead though.
The new label FloraNova is nothing like the stuff I used last year. I was constantly 250-300 PPM lower than before with it.
The organic disappeared last summer up here in Canada. No Bio bases to be had. I don’t know if it’s back or not. I just got scared of using anything from them that was made after 2018.
I see they have a powder line now called Pro. It’s got to be aimed at the Jack’s 321 line. Monsanto will grab them for fun after they’ve cut their market share down with a competing product.
I can’t say specifically why some products were replaced by others in the line, but I’m sure it’s made cheaper than the previous one.
