Why so many autoflower growers?

Huh? Hard to make a plant flower? Flip it to 12/12 if your indoor. If your outdoor tho that’s a whole different thing. If you have a shirt grow season you may need autos to even get a harvest. Or you can veg a photo while you flower an auto to get a harvest in while you bulk up a gene you like. Idk to each there own but there’s definitely a lot of reasons.

You did not read the question correctly, try again.

Actually I apologize I just realized I missed a detail. These people are using auto flower genetics indoors.

Many people who start threads are brand new growers who were mistaken in thinking an autoflower is a good idea as a good plant to begin with.

Well its not and after it won't grow right they come here to find out why.

That is legit 50% of the new threads made.
That’s along the lines with what I understood. Ive done breeding and autoflowers are genetics no one I have ever met wants to keep breeding with. It’s very weak DNA. Thank you for your insight

Quick turn around. You can go through every phase in 10-12 weeks. When you mess up it doesn’t take as long to start over. You don’t have 5-8 weeks of veg to go through.
Thank you for your words. However I have strains that from clone to harvest are 10-12 weeks. So I understand what they want but you can achieve that with the correct strain. Why autoflower? Is there a strain that is only autoflower that I would know?

If It’s a perpetual grow in one room or tent or if you want a mid summer harvest I can understand autos, other than that, I don’t get it.

There are some fairly prominent people promoting autoflowers as the perfect solution for growers with space limitations, and I suspect the "ease" of a plant that will start flowering on its own appeals. Also, I recall at least one of those prominent people pushing 24/7 lighting of autoflowers, to maximize growth in the allotted time? More light/More growth = better, right?

Obviously the counter-argument is that you could simply run photoperiod seeds on 12/12 from the get go and run start-to-finish in a similar amount of time.

Never mind :wall:
Try google

I don’t get it either, that’s my point. Thank you for your vote

24/7 lighting? All the way through? Does it make yield noticeably better? I’ve never heard of running a plant 24/7 lighting all the way. Thanks for your words.
