Will my 150w HPS be enough?

I've got a 150w HPS sun system light and now 3 females all at different growth stages, all at about the same height: 7.5"-8.5". They all came from the same bud, the healthiest looking one is a clone of the least healthiest looking one. The healthiest looking one i've grown from clone and was clipped september 27th and vegged till october 27th and has flowered since. The other two were inherited from a failed plan and i revived them; since then they haven't shown any new damage, they've been flowering for like...two weeks-ish, and just yesturday i found the first female preflower on the biggest. i'm using Fox farm tiger bloom.

I'm wondering if these 3 plants are going to surpass the capability of my 150w light. As in, will i be abe to get 100-130grams out of this grow with these 3 plants, and if so, if i threw a 250w above them, would i be able to get 200-230grams in the same amount of time. I know more light will get more bud, but i want to be doing 1month veg 1 month flower, and i don't want to wait much more than a month for this to finish maturing.

The two that arn't the clone have massive root systems relative to the clone because they are about 2months+ old. How will they compare in growth compared to the clone?

I am no expert, but looking at the size of them you wouldn't be getting anything near 100g's. As far as I know the regular flowering period on a plant is 8-10 weeks. You are looking to flower for only a month? Well, if you did flower them fully and maximized bud on those plants I would estimate more so 2-3 oz. I am also growing with a 150w HPS and it definitely gets the job done for two plants. If you are on a budget you are probably better off using a 150w.

It is true that more light equals more bud so if you really want to maximize yields on those, you are probably better off looking into 250w and up HPS systems. All I'm saying though is that don't expect more than 3-4 oz's off those even with an over adequate lighting system.
 
and yea as MJ said a month for flowering will be no where near enough time. depending on you strain and the color of you trichomes it can take anywhere from 7 to 10 weeks for them to be fully mature and ready to harvest so if you need to cut down on time you have to do it to the veg period.
 
I'm expecting to have to flower the bigger one longer than the especially the clone. I was still in the process of "getting a female" when i started this, so i only have so few plants. But when this is up and running i will be flowering 7 plants that look like that clone, but hopefully better. So one month veg one month flower with 7 plants will be more reasonable to break beyond a 150w.

But i was thinking that big plant was gonna be able to harvest pretty good because there are so many bud sites. I'm gonna let them sit till finish. 2/3 red. There is no point in pulling early, i'll just have to grow more later than and the quality will be lower. But i'm still thinking of pulling the clone around november 27th. 31 days from begining flower.

would i still need to cut down the veg time on my clone to get the 1monthveg 1 month flower?
 
basically what im saying is that you cant cut down the flower time it takes as long as it takes you know what im saying. it doesnt matter how small they are even if you started flowering from day one on a clone it still would take the alotted 7-10 weeks ya kno. so to have it from start to finish in 2 months you would have to begin flowering right from the get go and then you would get barely anything off of each plant
 
I am not an experienced grower, but I can definitely tell you 31 days of flowering isn't nearly enough time for those buds to mature. They'll be little preemie buds that will have harsh smoke and barely get you high because they're not fully developed.

I'm trying to do a SOG, and i feel i've missed something. SOG's are done in 2 months and harvest big per m/2. So for the flower time to be 6-8 weeks no matter the size of the plant, i would have to start the plant in flowering almost immediately after the roots set in (using clones from a mother plant). So there has to be a way to yield big off such small plants. And SoG is supposed to procude some of the best quality. Do i need more than 7 plants to produce towards 150g with a 150w?

the SOG is done by starting the plants in different stages and rotating them in and out. in to start the flower and out to harvest. these cycles still get 7-10 weeks to fully flower and mature.



Don't forget to factor in drying and proper curing times. (another 2 weeksish for a good cure, the longer the better)
 
How big is your grow space. I'm thinking 150w HPS is not sufficient for 7 plants. It would be much better for a 3x3 space with say 3-4 plants max. If you are planning on growing that much you may as well invest in more lighting. If you grew 3-4 properly you could yield 4-6 ounces (100-175g's) anyhow, and that is plenty sufficient for any personal grow.
 
but those same rules don't apply in SOG. i'm thinking of doing a 7 plant SOG in a 2'x2'. looking for a 1/4 to a 1/2 out of each plant. So really, i'm looking for a 1/2 out of each plant. Thats 3.5ounces, 98 grams. I want to really get 4 plants in each square foot, which in a 2'x2' would be 16 plants, each yielding a 1/2 ounce, would be 8 ounces, 224grams. These are all single cola plants. I can't do that without a bangin mother plant (16 good clones a month) and a solid chamber for 1) root set in stage 2)first 4 weeks flowering 3) 2nd 4 weeks flowering. 7 plants using 2 aerogardens is my jerry rigged version, and i'm gonna add a 2'x2' box as soon as my dad finds the time to help me build it. And i'm not underage, my dad just used to own a yatche wood interior company. such small plants are supposed to be flowered almost immediatly so they harvest 6-8 weeks from when roots set in. that 2month time is cut down in 1/2 if you have two chambers, one for the first 4 weeks and 1 for the second 4 weeks.

Now, i obviously messed up and thought that just because the plant were small it would mature earlier and be able to be harvested earlier, when in reality, time is the apparent key factor. A lot of what i just added up there is new information i've learned about SoG and from people here saying I can't harvest in 31 days...which makes me very sad. it's gonna be a long...6-8 weeks. I believe that's christmas ish?
 
yea your gettin the idea now the reason people do a sog set up is to be able to grow more plants in a smaller space but to get the yields your lookn for as everyone else said you would need more plants and more light. your are correct tho that you would pretty much start them flowering immediatley to meet you time specifications.
