bubble set up just flushed the system yesterday, theyre the center plants furthest from the light (6 inches) using two CFLs of decent wattage but are still big they are 3 weeks old.

im sorry, i just realized u said only 2 of 9 are having probs. are u sure they are getting enough oxygen. i used to run a DWC and i would always have my airstones slide to the edge of the system, and the center plants would suffer. usualy they would go yellow first due to overwatering (under oxygenating).
are they weaker plants compared to the rest?

I'm begining to think so 5 out of the nine look really vibrant and range from really light green to dark green but are all healthy the others are either skinnier or smaller or wilting. Is that normal it was a mixed bag of seeds but I believe from the same plant.

it is possible, but i dont think that is what is going on. i think u have a problem somewhere.
can u post a picture?
what are your temps in there?
what is your PH?

okay, we found the problem(s)
first and foremost that water temp has to come down. 70 in a DWC is max. maybe 72 if you add h2o2 and hydroguard. u should atleast be adding h2o2 anyways.
the reason the water temp has to come down is because it holds less oxygen at higher temps, and bacteria will infect your plants. low oxygen and bacteria means root rot will happen, that is not curable and it can and often does destroy entire crops.
PH also needs to be lowered. 5.2-5.8 in a DWC is optimal.
