Winterize BHO in e-NRG bioethanol?

Hey folks,

I have some BHO I would like to winterize. But I don't have access to appropriate neutral spirits. I can get 99% iso without issues; but, I have also obtained some e-NRG bioethanol - 92% ethanol and 8% isopropyl alcohol (found on their website SDS). I have evaporated off 100ml into a small flask and there does not appear to be any residual residue left.

If there are any contaminants related to alcohol distillation, would they not be evaporated early in the evap process?

Would this be a good medium to winterize in?

Thanks for reading

I've been told that ethanol winterizes better than 99.9% ISO. There's a science to it, but I don't remember. So I'd go with that e-NRG.

It will work for winterization. The Isopropyl is less polar with a dielectric constant of 17.9, while it is 24.5 for ethanol. Methanol would be best at 32.7.

I dissolved about 10g in the ethanol. And left it in the freezer at around -25 degrees Celsius for 48 hours. Pretty incredible what I filtered out!

I have about 20g more dissolved in the freezer now. Going to evap the alcohol and throw it in the vac chamber!
