Would This Fan Work For My Closet?

Okay so I need to install a fan in my bedroom closet. The Lights are just making it way to hot in there. Well my question is would I be able to mount the above fan to my ceiling and have the hot air blow into the attic? Would I need that extra tubing or could I just cut a hole in the ceiling and stick this in there?

You might also consider one with a charcoal filter to help scrub odors.
