wow!!!!!

I have never tried coco before So I go to the store and purchase a block me and the gentleman talk for a bit and I ask him how I should go about expand the block he says to throw the block in the tub well..... ,heres what I got

So what is your question? Yes, using the bathtub to expand the coco is normal. I know some people like to use kiddie pools because you can work around all sides.

Personally I just used a storage tub and then once its saturated I put it in a Aero pot (fabric pot) and then rinse it, simple and works great. I'm not to sure about the bathtub, I guess it would be OK if you disinfected it and rinsed it well but I just foresee problems with the drain clogging, IDK if it works let us know. Just FYI; If the coco your using needs to be rinsed, which is the case with most, make sure to rinse it well, VERY WELL, this is because immediately after the coco nuts are harvested they are thrown in a netted off section of the ocean to soften the coir/husk for easy removal, this leaves the coir/husk laden with salts and other foreign particles that if not rinsed off/out will burn roots and kill plants, this happened to me so I can say for sure this is a fact. i use a large cooler so i can drain it if i use too much water to expand my coco...

what the fuck? dude ... just ph ur water in gal jug.. put coco brick inside tote and pour water over brick slow.. The big blocks take about 5 gal of water and no mess or pluged drains

Yep a little late for that, all I did was what the guy at the grow store told me to do throw the block in the tub and it will expand, I put the block in the tub, cranked the water on and went out side for a smoke come back and I hot a fuckin coco soup going on

I was so pissed man, it took me FOREVER to clean the shit up

Fuck, lol I mix my coco wih perlite, Vry happy so far, but Feed every water and use cal mag..I pulled off cal mag for a feeding and it showed ..Side by side with soil grow and coco is smoking foxfarm ocean forest. I ph to 5.8 little over 4 weeks veg and week in flower the plants are 6 foot tall 18 gal totes
