Yellow/brown leaves with pics

Ok everyone. Everything was going good to go until about two weeks ago. Leaves on the plants started turning yellow, then yellow with some brown spots and then brown.

At first I thought they were nute burned but I'm only using 1/4 strength at every other watering.

They are in Fox Farms soil with fox farm nutes. I PH all water after adding my nutes.

I'm within 2 - 3 weeks of harvest. What should I do? The buds and colas seem to still be growing like they should...the leaves are just turning brown and dying.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lack of nitrogen is likely the cause. Its fairly common to see. The leaves yellow like that 1 week before harvest. Take the yellow leaves off the plant they will never recover. A shot of calmag would not hurt.

Is calmag a calcium supliment?

The plants are about 6 ft. tall but I don't see any brown hairs yet. How far away from havest am I?

Yes calcium supplement. How long have they been flowering? What color are the trichs?

I have three plants ready for harvest. One of the plants looks like it has lots and lots (LOTS) of seeds all over the buds. If you break it open its not hard like a seed. Neither of the other two plants have this. Are these seeds? All three plants were females which is why this has me wondering. I would figure if I had a male or hermy all plants would have seeds.

I've seen them sprout seeds right before harvest, sort of a last ditch effort to keep the species alive. The quantity you speak of sounds suspect though.

After doing some searching I think they are swollen calyxes. There is no seed inside. All sticky liquid goo. Is this good or bad? Should all plants ready to harvest show these?

Here are a few pics.

You're getting there. You want to see 90% of the pistils turn red and they have hardly even started in that last pic, so you've got a lot of bud to pack on there :bigjoint:

And don't listen to people that say yellowing leaves are fine in the last stage, no outdoor grower would tolerate that so it sure is not a natural thing! Losing large leaves affects final yield, that is botany 101. Keep them leaves green with nitrogen :leaf:

The microscope method may be best to use here to determine where your trichromes are in the flowering process. You can get a handheld lighted 60x100 scope at radioshack for ten bucks, The people who work there will have no idea what your talking about, but its in there somewhere.

I just bought one of the ten dollar microscopes for the radio shack and the guy who sold it to me was looking at me with a raised eyebrow. But he looked like a total stoner :bigjoint: But i do like it. Hope you get it figured out.
