yet another light question

Yes that light would work great but it is going to put out some big time heat so you will need an exhaust fan to exhaust the heat out of the room/box
Metal Halide is for vegging and High Pressure Sodium is for flowering
I would start with the MH for a couple weeks and once they start flowering switch to the HPS bulb
I would watch out with that ballast though, it doesn't say anything about it being rf protected
If it isn't rf protected than it will fuck with you and your neighbors cable when it is turned on
I found that one out the hard way
 
IMHO, I think you should run em both at the same time to grow out all 7 plants. Maximum spectrum would be awesome. The best of both worlds. If you can only run 400 watts, Id go with the hps from veg to Harvest. And I would only grow 4 max with that wattage. Good luck. p.s. wanna know what the best 400 bulb is? Son Agro 430 by sylvania ..The best bang for the buck. Iam using one right now in my veg room. And grew out plenty of huge Monsters. Heres a picture of an award winning plant I grew out with a son agro 430 watt bulb.
 
Thanks for the fast response..it's going to be 7 plant hydro setup..while i'm shopping on amazon do you reccomend any nutrients to be purchased on amazon or should I go to the store.
 
I don't have a problem with my cable or phone. The RF protection is used to protect the ballast from voltage spikes. To reduce the switching noise on the electrical it Would need filters or active front end.
Tom_420 where on this planet r u? Sounds like u had a bad experiance. Wonder if any one has problems with electrical noise ???? Anyone...

Fox Farm trio with the additives. Follow the easy to use schedule and grow out some phatties. Its about that easy. I have 9 dwc buckets going.. I know the shit works..Check out my link for pics.. Best of luck to ya :)

I am in the US
There was too much noise when they hooked up this computer thing to my line
They had to put filters all over but it would cut out my internet for some reason
I just gave the digi ballast to a friend and used my old mag ballast instead
That is what I get for buying cheap chinese digital ballasts :wall:

My Bad(too baked), I meant photo contest, I won a pic contest at the cannabis culture website, and the picture of my avatar was the winning photo. Then my Picture was published in high times. Very proud of that achievement :)

why not use both? use the MH for 2 weeks to encourage a lot of branching and not streching (w/ HPS) and then switch to the HPS for flower production. It makes NO sense to not to utilize both seperatley if you have them.
 
Fox Farm Nutrient trio would work in a hydro setup?

Does it ever :) Btw, That link you posted is fox farms for soil... the grow big has a soil formula and hydro.
