dead buds

I am currently in my second week of flower, and all bud sites look "brownish" and dry. They don't look rotten or moldy, just brown..kind of lifeless. Could this be nutrient burn? Light/heat stress? Genetics? And most importantly, can I complete the harvest and hope that the buds eventually will...
