Introducing myself ....

Hi all! I intend to actively participate in discussions under the Politics forum so I thought I'd introduce myself. I grew for about four or five years a while back, was active on the old OG forums if anyone remembers them. I actually created this account shortly after they shut down but never posted. I was gifted a light a few months back and about a month ago, found a single seed in a fantastic bag of Girl Scout Cookie (it actually tastes like cookies!) I already had about six or seven sour diesel seeds packed away somewhere soooo.... I'm back to growing again! (no idea how I went so long without plants in my life)

I am in my forties, a woman, a single mother and worked as a Paralegal for many years. My children are bi-racial, brilliant and beautiful. I am now a full time college student, I have an AS in Digital Forensics, and working on my BA in IT. I work part time to pay the bills.

I have strong opinions and sometimes come across with a lot of sarcasm. I don't tend to get my feelings hurt easily but I can not stand rudeness, bigoted attitudes and ultra conservative views on anything.

So, that's me. I look forward to being a much more active member of this community.

Cool. And welcome. And I honestly want you to know I mean that, especially in light of the question I'm about to ask:

Why did you feel the need in your initial post to mention that your children just happen to be biracial? My children are "uniracial", but until now I've not seen a need to state it here. Or anywhere. My children are my children.

No one actually discusses politics on here. And if you try, you'll just get called names. You can try to put people on ignore, but its hard to keep up. Good forum for growing, but that's it.

It's kinda weird you turned a new members introduction into a "hey welcome, BUT FUCK THAT OTHER GUY, DID YOU KNOW HOW STUPID HE IS AND HOW MUCH I HATE HIM???!?!!!", I'm sure cannabisdreams will applaud you for it.. Except she probably won't because you're a racist bigoted POS and she doesn't sound like an idiot.. Each of our post histories can show that much, but I'll let her decide..

Paddy, I don't hate you. Whatever gave you that idea? You're just a young guy, uncertain in the world but convinced you know it all. We all go through a phase like that. It's obnoxious and you will be deeply mortified by it in the coming years.

Actually, I never read your rape fantasy thread, I just heard about it second hand when others, skylard in particular, were beating you up about it. I guess women are sorta turned off by such things.

As far as my racism is concerned, I will let her decide. I believe in live and let live. I don't believe dead babies should be dropped in a dumpster, nor do I consider babies to be cell masses, though the premier racist on RIU seems to think that is exactly where babies belong, after they are killed.

I am very attracted to women, well some women, but it's OK with me if others are homosexual. Rape has never appealed to me, but your fantasies are your own business. Live and let live.

That is an excellent question. I agree with you that it's odd to mention it. I've never actually done it before, however, I really do want people to understand where I'm coming from. I am judged on a regular basis because of it so it has a lot to do with who I am. Strictly in this context... a political opinion forum where faces and names and photos are not included... it seemed appropriate enough to go there.

LMAO! no, not that... I prefer to be single. I've had long term serious relationships, I just never walked down the aisle and gave up half my stuff. Seems kind of strange now that I'm older. Most of my life I had a kind of 'hippie' attitude toward relationships. Not sure that was the best way to go but it worked out for me =) I'm happy dont have to share the covers. I keep saying maybe one day ....
