If you do it outside and use a oz tube where you only need 1 can to extract it the chances of it blowing up are pretty low, the butane pretty much evaporates as it comes out so there isn't really ever a pool to explode, if you do more then 1 tube and use more cans of butane just wait a couple minutes between blasts to let all the vapors disperse, simple simple

I've made BHO and I am pretty stupid.
I made it outside once and one time in a garage with the door cracked and fans moving air.

The best hash I ever made was bubble hash from the sickest trim I ever got of my plants. It was creamy, almost white, tasted amazing and smelled like flowers. BHO is much easier.

Might have to bust out the BHO rig and blast the rest of my Deadhead OG, which I am tired of.

Just get a small fan and blow it across the ground where you'll be working. From what I've read butane is heavier then air and will sink.
If you have a deck or patio that might work even better, just turn a fan on, or do it on a breezy day and make sure there's not ignition sources down wind.

Yea that helps, the mentioned method is also a sure way to make qualify dabs the oz tube and 1 can of tane is pretty much the perfect amount of contact time for the solvent on material
