I was wondering what to do with the leaves... they are a bit bushing out and I defoliate what I can but for the others should I just tuck them under the screen?

Do you defoliate at all? Above net i mean. Will you remove fan leaves from that mess or do you like to ride them out natural?
If the (severely) shaded bud site has serious potential I will risk the slight (if at all) deficit in fan leaf doner bud to attain another solid nug then so be it.
Many don't agree with this & say don't cut anything, but if I did that the screen would become a solid mat of fans & nothing would get through.
As for the trimming for additional buds - I've been doing this same setup for a lot of years & it just comes second nature after seeing what happens with different techniques.

I know I ain't the best at this game, but then again, I know I ain't the worst.

Ive been growing for almost 2 years and i dont like to defoliate unless i have to. I try to tuck leaves where i can. I see lots of people with large scrogs though talk about it "as necessary" like you for the lower bud sites. Was just curious. I agree with you that the training and techniques become second nature after a while. I just look at the plants and do everything "by feel" at this point.

I am doing my first scrog right now though going to flip after this weekend when i get my far reds installed. So im getting a quick refresher in defol since this is a new technique for me.

This the thread to follow . That's why I made it and man GWN been around a long time . Glade he came through when he did or else I wouldn't have the screen I do right now . It defenitly wouldn't be as filled

Looks like you made a lot more space for light to penetrate the middle and lower canopy ! So here's a shot of mine(DIDNT take a shot before the trim it was really bushy!) and here's the trim pile I'll probably do one more go around in a couple days. (I give em lil breaks)you can see where I cut the leaves in half so they don't overlap other sites or leaves

Tucking.
It's part of my répertoire but I've discovered that it is a temporary solution.
The revelation came watching time lapse photography of Cannabis plants.
They move & that leaf you just tucked will be back up where it wants to be within a couple of hours.
I't actually cool to see them react that quickly.

I had them on drip but ran to a lil problem with the set up and just saving it for next round . Currently I fill up a 10 gallon tub (usually last 3-4 days) premixed nutes and hand water . Then I use wet vac to take out excess water . Feed everyday

Since I'm running super soil I just need to water only, but I like to have about a 30 (ish) % runoff just to keep things clean so I'm not the guy to ask fert questions.
