I'm an absentee land owner in that I have property about 45 mins from my home. I get out to the property every 10 days to 2 weeks. I have an orchard with 50 fruit trees that are on an irrigation system. I have the ability to run an irrigation line and place drip emitters for a grow. This would be electronically controlled and be on its own 'zone' much like your lawn system.
I plan on using an auger on my tractor to place a hole about 2-3' wide 2-4' deep and fill with some good soil similar to SubCool's recipe.
I also live in a HOT HUMID DROUGHT ridden area. . .
I know this is a tough question but I'm asking your best educated guess here . . .
On the average How much should I be watering during the hot months of June, July & August? 3-5 gallons of water EVERY night? 10 gallons every 5 days. Some one ballpark this for me so I can get it started and I will dial it in from there. I just don't know where a good starting point is. Obviously a young seedling needs a lot less than a plant in late August will thats been in the ground since June.
THANKS!
