DIY with Quantum Boards

Will get one of those new heatsinks for single board when they are out. I want to run one QB hard, just because I can lol!

Trying to decide if it would be worth it to build a frame for my 4 boards out of 80/20. Guess I need to do some pricing.

I was planning to use 4 of the single board heatsinks. Would it be better to use a large sheet of aluminum? I want to experiment with various power levels and may add a second driver to run them hard if I wish. I could add a couple fans also.

If you find some cheap 80/20 let me know I have been looking but all the parts are a rip off 5 bucks for tiny screws 8 bucks for corners etc. They are taxing hard or ripping off would be more like it for 80/20 accessories.

I want to do black 80/20 but....

I want to hide my wires for a clean diy install.
I think this is what stops a lot of ppl from diy. It would be nice to be able to buy a empty case like the photon 450.

wonder if you could drill a hole right past the connector on the board to run the wire up

Limited 4000K and 5000K will be available in 2-3 weeks.
We are designing thinner longer boards. No plans a 3x3 board . will think about it.
cool! i was thinking make different size board for different grow areas. pair them with a driver so nubes (like myself) could just buy the board and driver combo. then build out the frame we want. Maybe get a 10 foot by 10 foot board with a 60 hp john deer generator so i could make an entire room a grow area. :)

I was thinking of using Black 1/4 in water line for RO systems to act as a conduit cover for the wires. Also if using 80/20 you could mount the heatsinks to the bottom and on top get a black aluminum plate for the driver and mount all the connections under it hiding the wires clean.

think that might be too much insulation for the wires? They may overheat
