That's impressive that your 20ga sheet stayed that cool with no airflow. So a filter/fan going and a bit a air blowing across the back of your panel and you'll probably be golden.

Are you gong to mount your drivers all inside? I would run all electronics to a panel like this.
I'm going to do something similar and then use plugs to connect everything
I have some ABS project enclosures hanging around I was planning on using, was hoping to have that done already. I will eventually be putting the micro controller + sensor/relays in their own enclosure closer to the floor and just run a PWM/Ground cable to the drive box.

You don't think you couldn't help temps if you took the drivers off the panel? Looks good man, I bet that thing is giving off quite a bit of light. In my experience the eb strips are super easy to work with too.

this crew may find this interesting, I don't want to muddy up the quantum threads or make anyone think I'm being negative about the product. If you compare the product data sheets for the lm561b+ (used in M series), and the lm561C (used in the quantum boards) there appears to only be UP TO (but not necessarily) 6-7% difference between the chips. Arrow.com just released a 15% off coupon, so you can get m-series @ ~ $.12/per LED (price per LED to allow you easy comparison to the quantum boards) if you buy 10+ of the 4ft C series for example.

btw, it looks to me like the h series strips using the c version is 26% better than the m series strips using the b version.

Not at all, if anyone was looking at starting a similar build they should be using the the Samsungs for the price/eff. Started this trying to make a cheap, mid-power, evenly spread light I could and looks like its getting cheaper with everyones research.

My order of 6 Samsung arrived today. Holy crap ships fast

will be over 164lm/w @700ma
These are low intensity though the B has more diodes and the C has the most. They were 8.60$ each & 50$ total and I hope they will work well for 24" x 15 feet of seedlings
Yoooo I just realized. My 4 bridgelux give off almost 20,000 lumens and cost me 87$cdn
These Samsung As give off almost 20000 lumens and cost 67$cdn.

Well the first time the strips were totally bent in a U shape, and I got a spare set for free - these ones I hope the packaging was good enough, but i'm just really surprised there was no bubble wrap and the "box" was flat.. like. wtf. they could have gotten damaged easily...
If they dont work, more free LEDs lol.
So just a heads up, if Arrow is shipping the strips like this then you might end up going through a 'return' process.

I ordered 10 of the 4K Samsung strips from Arrow and they came in bubble wrap in a stiff cardboard "L" strip.

Hm I wonder if I should just send that pic to arrow and be like 'hey what is this packaging'
So I emailed Digikey and they fixed it right away, but just the other day I got an email back from Bridgelux because I emailed them too, and they were concerned digikey wasn't packaging them correctly and were going to follow up with their rep at Digikey.
So I wonder if I should contact samsung and let them know - I only think that would work if the strips were actually broken though. I filed an RMA request with Bridgelux thats why they gave me attention.
