looks like it may be a thermostat that you plug a heater and a.c. into and it maintains a steady temperature. I'm no expert though. you may Google it.Can someone tell me what this is for? It came with my set and ive got no idea.View attachment 4024555

That's exactly what it looks like. But unless you put an a/c in your tent, I'm not sure what you would use the cool outlet for. I have a controller for a heater; it comes on around 70 and turns off around 75. My grow space is a basement in new england and the temps will drop to about 58 in the winter. If I didn't run a heater during lights off I'd get really bad condensation.looks like it may be a thermostat that you plug a heater and a.c. into and it maintains a steady temperature. All depends if you will be running a.c. and or heat. even without wild temps, you can still get temp swings depending on space and lights used.Do I need it then, because I don’t really have any super lows or really high temperatures around where I am?

I looked briefly at that light. At the wall it will probably pull about 200 watts. That is way too little light for a 4x4 (foot - I assume your size is meters?) space.1x HARVEMAX LED COB 432W
Honestly I wasn’t the purchaser but got that all in a package cause we’re on budget and don’t have that much for it.I looked briefly at that light. At the wall it will probably pull about 200 watts. That is way too little light for a 4x4 (foot - I assume your size is meters?) space.
Can you buy from a company like timbergrowlights.com or horticulturelightinggroup.com?
This is what you want.... http://timbergrowlights.com/redwood-vs-4x4/ It's more expensive but you won't be throwing it away after 2 grows because it doesn't work.
At a min, you would use this: http://timbergrowlights.com/model-4vs/
That's slightly small for a 4x4 but you can make it work.
Ahh, sorry then. Get yourself a cheap light meter then and keep your cannopy tight under that light. Try not to exceed a 1m x 1m footprint directly under it for your first grow. The light meter will show you how quickly the light falls off at the edges and will help you to set the height.Honestly I wasn’t the purchaser but got that all in a package cause we’re on budget and don’t have that much for it.
