I have (4) of the COB's in each 3x3 for a total of 8 The 4x8 right now is running (2) 600 watt Eye Hortilux Super HPS in raptor hoods. They're being driven by Hortilux 600 watt Gold E- Ballast.

I will be putting (6) COB's most likely in half the 4x8 and leaving one of the HPS on the other side for now. Later when I get more $$ the other side will get COB's as well. When I am done I will have dropped my power use with lights by 50% overall. That's the plan anyways we will see. That's what I l like about these you can add little by little as $$ allows and for me they just work. And since it's passive cooling no noise or added hest from fans and more drivers. I can put my hand right on the drivers and not have to take it off.

So you want to run 8 COBs but at how many watts man it's not just about number of COB's. Are you asking about the ones I am using or another company or DIY I need more info. Multiply your useable space by 35 and that's how many watts total I would run. Then divide that number by how.many COB's you want to run. I think 8 is Overkill but that's just me. Don't spend extra $$ if you don't have to......especially for veg. Look back in my thread here when I had the two COB's for veg in my 2x4 they kicked ass and just two 54watt COBs.

jesus christ, I know exactly what you're going through. I threw all my gaba away and won't touch it ever again. I was on 800 4x a day, just 400 mg less than you and I know for a fact it made me sick. I think it was causing liver issues and knocking out my immune system. I would get a respiratory infection and get so sick for a few days that I lay in bed and took no meds, esp gaba, get well and start the gaba again and just a day or two and get sick again. It was a repetitive cycle for months, 2-5 sick, 2-5 days well unless I kept taking the gaba. I once lay in bed for 30 straight days before I finally realized and permanently quit taking gaba. Haven't been sick a single day since.

That fucking gabapentin is pure evil poison and has zero therapeutic value. It is deadly and Dr's are way over prescribing and prescribing way too massive dosages to individual

(/rantmode)

Fuck gabapentin

Yep, i remember vividly the withdrawls from gabapentin. Fuck that noise with a square dick in a sandpaper condom. I started using cannabis earlier this year when the VA tried to put me on oxycodone. Fuck that noise too.
I already went through getting off the oxy and the morphine last year like you said fuck that noise. Just need the stash to build up again so I can leave the gabbapentin alone.........

I lost nearly 40 pounds over a three month period this summer, when I quit taking all of the crap they had me on. That wasnt cold turkey, either. This was a controlled reduction to zero of all sorts of crap. I was a good 30 pounds overweight, but now I look in the mirror and its like my skin doesnt fit sometimes. Hell, none of my pants fit anymore, either. Lol

Fucken mess in the 4x8 but almost cleaned up I will not ever again grow plants this large without a net for support. I moved the circulating fan up higher in the 4x8 and cleaned up the doggie dreams and one of the GG#4 as well as the Blue Harley. I staked up the 3 big plants. Still need to clean up the other GG#4 then going to try and toss trellis net on each side using the stakes to hold up the plants. You will see the loli popping I did all the weak shit that would be larf was trimmed off. It's amazing how much there really was to clean up especially on the GG#4. I also physically moved the plants around to positions I felt were better for light to the plants and to give them each more space. I'm fucking spent was in there for almost 12 hours on and off. I have to take a lot of breaks when working I wear out easily due to illness.

Tomorrow's job will be to clean up the second GG#4 and start getting net up on each side. The net won't be optimal this is a fix to finish this run.

I also made the decision to take down the Hubba Bubba. I raised the COB's and hung the plants with the proper label on each hanger then shut off the lights. Since I'm not really in a hurry for the use of that tent yet I am going to dry them in there. Lights off fans on. When they're done I will clean the shit out of it and reset new pots of dirt and not re use the stuff that's in there now.

And last but not least I was able to spread out the plants in the nursery after taking out the makeshift cloner which was not a success at all lol. Three of the four little cuts will be given to the fairy and the fourth is a cut of my male that doesn't look like it will take which if that's the case there goes that boy as I culled him already because he was too big.

I think that's it nothing else comes to mind. Just trying to stay busy and not sit and just think right now.

Thanks for checking in

The price he sells them for wasn't worth it to me to build my own. Would be cheaper to do the "almost complete" and make a fixture but then you lose the benefit of adjusting them as single units......takes away from their versatility.

In the space you described I would run (4) of the AutoCob's 8 is way overkill man lol. I'm going to run (6) on each half of the 4x8 if it means anything to you.

I almost ordered some of the almost complete last week and was just gonna slap them on a frame JUST so i can get some cobs going in the garden.Glad the other half set me straight and told me to stick with what i actually wanted....individual units.Thats great that you say 4 should do me in that space.

Yes sir. And the good thing is, you can always add more if you want to, but I do not think you will need it for that space.

Oh i don't run autoflowers this was another reason i was thinking a bit more light would help.

Have never ran them but word on the street is photos require a little more light than autos.

Yes at least I think so. I run my auto's 24/7, when you run your photo's it's 12/12 usually in flower and for veg people do different things. You have to factor in how much time under light your plants go......and most people do not even consider this at all. I run both because I like both and I enjoy running Mephisto genetics for my auto's..........

This is where i'm unsure of how many to use as it's my understanding the autocobs are geared more towards autoflowering plants. But for veg i would think it's not so much of a big deal with photo period plants.I just would like to make sure that if(when)i do a flower run in this tent i have enough light.

Are you aware of any one here using the autocobs on photo plants?

Not gonna lie evil.....i cussed ya a bit when you pulled the GG4 out from under them lol...sorry bout that bud lol

Not sure man but I will be soon. As for what type of plant the light is for not sure where you got that. The light has nothing to do with auto/photo specifically. Like I said 35 watts per sq/ft is about where you want to be period regardless of plant type IMHO. You will not need more than 4 of these lights for your space especially if just for veg.

As for the GG#4 there will be more to come under the COB's, but they got too big for the 3x3 it was a matter of necessity.

Spoke to Doc (neuro) and he said to cut Gabapentin dose in half ASAP. Appointment tomorrow with PCP.........

Cool beans dude.

Forgot to mention it.Your girls that you just chopped and hung......keep an eye on them for any more of them little fuckers.....they'll crawl up the plant as it hangs....a bit easier to spot them.
