This is why I don't understand your claim that the election is irrelevant. Of course it is relevant. The majority of the party elected Clinton as their choice to run as the Democratic Party nominee for president. Sanders and his supporters tried to subvert the will of the majority in the party by back office shenanigans. The rest of the convention they simpered like teen age girls who were told by their parents they were dressing like whores and made to wear something else. They showed up at least looking presentable but made a show of their outrage and misery. Their behavior was laughable in its lack of maturity but it continued to show how little these naive children understood that in a democracy, the person who wins the majority is the winner. Adults move on and you guys have not.

The DNC is an office, it provides infrastructure to people who are trying to get elected. This is just a back office scandal. If the primary had been turned by this, then I'd say it is worthy of being called very important. Is this your claim?

Are you saying the DNC hasn't changed its bylaws and fired people? I know that Sanders had people at meetings last year and this year to see to it. Do you have anything other than a cynical belief that nothing has changed? What exactly are you expecting?

They are under no obligation to do so of course, but I’m under no obligation to support them financially or otherwise either. I suspect that there are a lot of liberals out there that feel the same way.

Sanders is an independent Senator who caucuses with the Democratic Party. By definition his most ardent supporters are independents. It seems to me they were never supporters of the Democratic Party. They just sometimes vote Democratic because the other guys are worse. They behave like the worst kind of person one can meet and form a relationship with and then try to break it off. I'm in favor of running closed primaries where only Democrats can vote and I think the registration period in order to vote in a Democratic primary should be at least 6 months if not a year before the election. I see no reason why we should allow people who falsely register as Democrat taint the Democratic Party's nomination process.
