oh i know, unbelievable. the truckers that haul out our crops bitch about the prices alot, they're spending thousands of dollars a day in just fuel. the one trucking co makes the drivers pay for their fuel then they reimburse them once a month, bullshit.

Why don't we just look at his actual voting record?

Offshore Oil Drilling
2007
- Obama was absent when the Senate voted on an amendment that would have authorized Virginia to petition for natural gas drilling and exploration in its coastal waters. NO is the pro-environment vote. [Roll Call #212, H.R. 6, 6/14/07]

2006
+ Obama voted no on ending debate on a bill that would open up 8 million acres off the coasts of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana for oil and gas drilling. NO is the pro-environment vote. [Roll Call 218, S. 3711, 7/31/2006]
+ Obama voted no to opening up 8 million acres of previously protected offshore areas to oil and gas drilling. NO is the pro-environment vote. [Roll Call Vote #219, S.3711, 8/2/06]
Drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
2006
+ Obama voted no on counting revenues from Arctic drilling as part of the budget. NO is the pro-environment vote. [Roll Call 74, 3/16/06]
2005
+ Obama voted no to end debate on the Defense Appropriations Conference Report, which included a provision to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. NO is the pro-environment vote. [Roll Call #364, H.R.2863, 12/21/05]
+ Obama voted no on a budget reconciliation package that contained language opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas development. NO is the pro-environment vote. [Roll Call #303, S.1932, 11/3/05]
+ Obama voted yes on and amendment to strike a provision counting revenues from drilling in the refuge. YES is the pro-environment vote. [Roll Call #52, Amendment 168, 3/16/05]

Absolutely against it..... but now? Wow.... now he is for it..... maybe you should ask why he has no actual principles?

Whatever can bring up his popularity with the independents is his goal now. He has fed the left with health welfare (and completely screwed the country's future along with it), and now needs to "SEEM" to be moving to the middle.

Don't be fooled.....

This is the genius of Obama the politician. Imagine the soundbytes he will have come election time, much less in the mere day since he has mentioned this. All these republicans are so angry now that they have gotten what they campaigned for. Although folks like us can see this for the political ploy it is, all that voters will see is the angry opposition of the right towards somehting they supported before Obama supported it. They are proving Obama's case.

I acknowledge Obama's 'flip flop', but assert that the Republican's flip flop will be more damaging come election time.

This is anothe reason why I have revised my prediction that republicans will sweep the 2010 elections....if there is one lesson we should have learned about Obama by now, it is that you should never underestimate his political savvy. He seems to always be 10 steps ahead in hindsight, despite sometime appearing aloof at the moment

Obama is no genius.... only desperate.

The country is quite finished with him....and I think his staff finally mustered up the courage to tell his wife.

You're right, he was so politically unsavvy that he did not overcome enormous odds to win his own party's nomination and then become the first black president of the United States.

Desperation is a stinky cologne....and it never reeks worse than when you spout your moon rocks conspiracy theory....

And it's been all downhill from there. I actually wished him luck in the beginning HOPING he would CHANGE his spots and govern in the center. He has NOT....and now the country is in tatters...and the economic fate has been cemented into failure long term. the ppl (with an education) see this and are mobilizing to SAVE what is left of the country.

And Iran builds a bomb.....while Obama creates a welfare nation.

Priorities...the wrong man at the wrong time doing the wrong things.

I'd say the healthcare bill is pretty centrist, even a little right leaning. I am taking to calling it Romneycare actually, hahahahah. And let me point out Obama was calling for sanctions on Iran mere hours before you started bringing it up here in the last day or two. I bet you probably have a good argument for why Obama singlehandedly caused the economic collapse that he is now in charge of getting us out of too....you are pathetic in your predictability

and NOW the country is in tatters? are you implying it was ok before he got here? please, the problems we are facing today were decades in the making.

ive never really been behind obama, didnt vote for him, but id much rather have him in there than tweetle dee and tweetle dumb...(McCain/Palin)

its funny to me when people complain about politicians lying and flip flopping...its what they do best people.

heh... just work it through.

Obama says we are in a FINANCIAL crisis? Right?

Answer? Rip the private sector to shreds and have the govt. GROW and increase taxation on businesses....which are the engine to future growth.

Sound like a plan?

That sure isn't what we have been doing previously..... by anyone.

NOT the answer.

This oil exploration PLOY is simply pandering for votes on Cap & Tax ... which is another idiotic idea....destined to help crush the USA even further.

So far...all I hear are words.

Since Obama has voted against oil time and time again...one must consider him to be insincere on this issue.

They passed the health welfare and guess what.... no poll bounce...and they are now running scared.

Corp's are doing the math required by Congress and now are posting Millions and Billions in losses in just the first year...because of health welfare.

Obama is seeking cover....any cover he can find at this point.

the ppl have been screwed and they know it.

Fuel cell technology. It is very cool, however hydrogen is not an energy source but an energy conveyor. It actually takes more energy to produce than what it yields. Until there is a net gain hydrogen will not be feasible...........and that could take decades. :eyesmoke:
