I'd like to hear you elaborate on what you mean by this. Like, give me a couple examples if ya could, I just want to hear it put in context.

Just an example, the other month where I live a 80 year old grandmother was arrested and jailed for slapping her 18 year old grand daughter for cussing her out and being defiant about completing her school work. The police officer decided to be politically correct and follow the book on this case (lets not discriminte here, one you let one old woman go then everyone thinks the same treatment applies to them, right?). Common sense dictates at most a warning, and if you read the article you would understand.

It's sad that the 15 yr old boy was shot and killed. As a parent I don't want to even think about how they would feel. But why would they let their 15 yr old son play in such a area ? If he was such a good kid why would he want to play down on the boarder ? I see now he was a know smuggler.

But yet they are trying to make it out to look as if the agent did something wrong. No one on this fourm would throw rocks at the Mexican Federal Police, those fuckers would work your ass over in a second lololololol so why is it our poor guy doing his job is getting this piss poor treatment! Is just crazy! He was being attacked. The Mexican's could have crossed back over and left but they stayed and attacked the U.S. Agent.

Mexico anger high as US Border Patrol kills teen

By OLIVIA TORRES and CHRISTOPHER SHERMAN, Associated Press Writers Olivia Torres And Christopher Sherman, Associated Press Writers – Wed Jun 9, 6:29 am ET
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico – Mexicans are seething over the second death of a countryman at the hands of U.S. Border Patrol agents in two weeks, an incident near downtown El Paso that is threatening to escalate tensions over migrant issues.
U.S. authorities said Tuesday a Border Patrol agent was defending himself and colleagues when he fatally shot the 15-year-old as officers came under a barrage of big stones while trying to detain illegal immigrants on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande.
About 30 relatives and friends gathered late Tuesday to mourn Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereka, whose shooting Monday evening came along the border with Texas. He died on the Mexican side of the river.
"Damn them! Damn them!" sobbed Rosario Hernandez, sister of the dead teenager, at a wake in the family's two-room adobe house on the outskirts of Ciudad Juarez.
Preliminary reports on the incident indicated that U.S. officers on bicycle patrol.....................
These immigrants act as if they actually have the right to enter another country illegally.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

everyone is too scared to hurt someones feelings so they don't do anything they may actually help. helen thomas said what half of the people in that debate believe and look what happened to her. simply because she has an "opinion". not that i agree or disagree, that doesn't matter. what matters is her right to freedom of speech was taken away over someone else's "feelings". she is THE perfect example of true freedom of speech and what it was meant to prevent/protect. haven't heard a peep about that though, have we?

hope this helps. bongsmilie

never apologize for having a few too many, murfy!

stewie, i agree with you. damn kid was dumb to throw rocks at a bp agent and likely had shitty parents or none at all to be smuggling at such an age. my only concern is that gunfire might be a bit excessive against rock throwing, but nonetheless. the kid played with fire and got burnt.

fdd, helen thomas exercised her freedom of speech, it was simply too offensive to pallette for many others who also exercised teir freedom of speech to express their isgust in her. just in the same way glenn beck has lost many sponsors. you CAN be politically incorrect, and the mainstream will decide if they accept it or not. i don't really think of it as us being politically correct pussies, but rather that we don't want to prejudice the debate with terms that carry certain connotations.

for example, do you suppose that a resolution for amnesty for undocumented laborers would garner more support than a resolution to give illegal aliens a free lunch? do you think a resolution for obamacare would garner as much support as a resoltuion for universal health care? a lot of the debate is often in how you frame it. i don't think that it hurts us to put issues in proper context.

We dont have anything against Hispanics. Just illegal immigrants, and since Hispanics make up about 90% of the illegal population then, of course, they are gonna get the majority of the heat. If you are here illegally, whether you are Mexican, Canadian, or Punjabi, we have a problem. Its not racism, no matter how hard they try to spin it.

Also, Im 1/256th Chickasaw, so all you motherfuckers need to get out.:eyesmoke:

"Almost 800 assaults against American border agents involving rocks or other weapons have already been recorded along the entire border in fiscal 2010,................. "

"I worry that officers may feel emboldened now to see themselves not just as law enforcement but as soldiers on a battlefield, defending the country against an invading enemy of Mexicans," says University of Texas-El Paso political science professor Tony Payan.

^^^^ exactly what they should be doing.

And then people like Uncle Buck will become enraged because they were "only" defending themselves against rocks.
Hey....rocks can kill.

Our government should authorize that they shoot to kill if they are attempting to pass our borders while challenging officers in any way, but I fear instead they would prefer to put them through a legal battle in defending their actions should they actually do their job.

So who's willing to give the military the right to patrol around in our country, in the name of stopping immigrants?
