its not important as long as you can maintain a constant heat around 70 degress. humidity is the important thing.I see 2 sides to this, alot of people use a heating mat under the tray with a dome, alot of people don't. Just wondering how important it is or if it's even necessary? Obviously it's been done without a heating pad, but how much easier does it make things?
Mine root just as fast, no blanket, domes, and watering with a gallon jug.It stimulates the root growth, I dont use a hydroponic heater - I use a small electric blanket (20 bucks) and I can get 8 propagation domes on it - works like a charm and I get roots in 6 days. Spay them 4 times a day with 4ml of Rizotonic to one ltr of carbonated water (CO2 is the fun bit...)
Hey wuts up slo? Yeah I have to agree with mygirls. Ur temps are optimum. Humidity IS key. But I'm lazy. I don't have a dome and I just mist a lot. I am going to tweak my cloning method a bit after reading Ed Rosenthals book but overall I still have a 95% success rate with cloning.its not important as long as you can maintain a constant heat around 70 degress. humidity is the important thing.
me to why change.. im good with that %ageHey wuts up slo? Yeah I have to agree with mygirls. Ur temps are optimum. Humidity IS key. But I'm lazy. I don't have a dome and I just mist a lot. i always take as many cutting from one branch.. u want at least 2 nodes in what ever your putting them into.. jiffy pots or rockwool.Got another question, I'll keep it in this thread. Can I take multiple clones from the Same branch of the mother plant? or do I want to just take the tips of each branch? Like I take a clone 4 nodes down from one branch. Then take another clone from that same branch 4 more nodes down?
u only cut off each limb thats coming off the branch. make sure they at least 2 nodes to work with.. one node will work but 2 is betterWell ya, i got the cloning procedure down I think, read the grow bible on cloning, DL'd Jorge Cervantes ultimate grow vol 1, that had a cloning thing on the end of it. But nowhere does it say in my research that you should or should not use a heating pad or take more than one clone from a branch. Guess I was thinking that the clone would have an open wound so to speak from the previous clone lol
