Yesterday gave us the news of a Double Dip in Housing.

I wonder what expert thinks people can buy houses with no-jobs?

So here we go.. Jobs are drying up and we are doing an economic about face.

Too little that is used up too soon but still the upper classes are making more profits and earning more than ever for our recent history.

So while the upper-wealthy classes are making bank you and I are facing a longer deeper and poorer future.

Google for the latest news.

Yeah, I noticed the double dip in housing...

Without government intervention it wont get better, either.

socialist.
Damn. Caught me!

On a serious note, between the depressed housing sector and labor market - and on top of that QE2 ending - we may be heading back into a more deflationary phase(which would be pretty shitty).

I'm on the wave of NPR so it's just the new news not even 10 hours old.

Lets see how this echoes through other networks..

I did watch shows and news on the housing markets before this, like a week or so now. I watched PBS NewsHour with an interview between two points of view about the nature and future of American economic realities in general.
I think they connected the lack of jobs as the reason for the lack of purchases including housing.
The Conservative Guy seemed to avoid all but the softest agreement on Jobs being a major contributor to our situation.

Seems reasonable to you and me maybe but to some the kind of wealth we have as workers is going down. It's hard to hock future pay if you aren't sure you will have a job.

So what does the future look like from here?

QE2 hasn't ended yet, they will wind it down over the next 3 weeks. QE infinity is still in the books though. BTW they are still going to purchase all maturing debt and rolling them over. This will cost $600 billion per year alone. The dominos have been set, we are just waiting for the Black swan to swoop in and then they can find a new euphemism for Printing Money. How big will it be this time?

Needs to be big; The fed should be targeting 4-6% inflation until we reach full employment(this is actually a pretty interesting argument I've been reading on lately... the only catch with "targeting" a moderate inflation number is the dreaded unhinging of inflation expectations...).

Alternatively, lawmakers can spend stimulating aggregiate demand - should mostly be via debt relief IMO.

Pick your poison... Unless ofc you'd rather just let the market deflate(which TBH I kind of expect this "solution" to be what you free marketeers would prefer).

edit: to expand on the inflation target bit, even Friedman advocated for a 3-5% target when he described what eventually became known as the "great moderation". How central bankers landed at a 2% target is beyond me(still researching).

That's impressive speak I am sure.

I would be entertained like one listens to Mark Twain.

please do tell me about how this "NWO" thing works.

i hear a lot of breathless murmurs about it, but have yet to hear someone tell me exactly what it is.

i once had some guy tell me, in all seriousness, that climate change was a hoax so that the new world order could depopulate the earth by 2/3.

As did many others, if you are using Beck as the backbone of you philosophy then your earlier posts make a lot more sense.
Good to see the tinfoil hat brigade lives on here at RIU, with the honorable Rick White serving as King Foil.

well, that in no way explains your paranoid ramblings about some nefarious "NWO", but it does lead me to ask a few questions...

when reverend wright spoke of the cradle to grave "apartheid american style" that african americans endured, should he say "god bless america"?

when reverend wright spoke of the way we decimated the native populations and interred japanese americans, should he say "god bless america"?

when reverend wright spoke of building bigger prisons while the government passed out drugs and wrote three strike laws, should he say "god bless america"?

i m pretty sure all the things he spoke of in that speech were things that would make your average, run of the mill, soul-having citizen say "god damn america" for doing such horrible things.

judge for yourself.

i'm pretty sure all of us here on this cannabis growing website would agree with the reverend about three strike laws and imprisoning more of our fellow citizens than any other country on the face of the earth, a disproportionate amount of those prisoners being black or minority or poor.

are you a square? a leo? a narc? a snitch? a rat?

No, your tinfoil is what makes you a puppet. You are a master to the lies of the extreme right and extreme conservatism.

Have fun stocking your bomb shelter for the rapture, over throw by radical Islam or whatever whacko scheme you subscribe to while the rest of us live our lives. I feel bad for ya man.

How do you say that you don't know about their plan then you lay their plan out and act as if it is a joke and is not valid.
