Auto Feminized Seed Crop

I went on vacation and get back to a bunch of seeds that have fallen off the buds. I had someone tending them while I was gone.
So far, without properly drying the seeds, I have had every single one germinate. I have 40 over at a friend's house and they all germinated. I am only growing one in my backyard, a Lowryder/Autoberry.

I haven't gone through the seeds that much. I probably got a 3-5 hundred viable seeds from each plant.
It's very nice not to have to order the shit anymore isn't it? Fak da $10.00 a seed shit!!

Oops, I had to edit this since I didn't post what I wanted to originally.

Don't be like me with all this breeding and forget which seeds are which.. I know, sounds stupid right? But of all the crap I have going on right now.. I can't be exactly sure whats what anymore..Label your seeds!!!

Yes I can see how it may be confusing keeping track of which seed is which after a bit of breeding.

Trouser's I have been studying and found a few experiments using CS that yielded hermie seeds to what might you attribute your success? Or are we not sure the new babys are herm or not?

Just read a great post on another site about CS.This grower makes his own, uses .999 pure silver, distilled water and an airstone, 5 to 9 volts,200 to 800 mili-amps,makes a 50 ppm. 1 liter batch in 7 or 8 hours, sprays a plant when he goes to 12/12 and again 1 week later. Says that is all the spraying it takes.

I have not come across anyone that has gotten hermie seeds, just people claiming this could happen.
So far, none of my seeds have exhibited any hermaphroditic tendencies.

If the genes you use tend to make hermaphrodites, then the seeds you make will tend to make hermaphrodites.

A plant that is a hermaphrodite by definition has to have male and female chromosomes. Feminized seeds do not have male chromosomes.
Technically feminized seeds can not be hermaphrodites.

They can put out male flowers, especially when stressed, but they can't be true hermaphrodites.

I am aware of making home made colloidal silver and was ready to do it when I found Tiresias Mist.
It was only $20 and I don't have to worry about low ppm. Some people were having trouble attaining high enough ppms with their solution. It is just one less thing to deal with. I don't have a problem with home made colloidal silver, I just have never tried.

I honestly doubt spraying only twice would get the results I am after, but I have not tried. I spray once a day starting a week before 12/12 or about week 2-3 with an auto. For all I know I am spraying too much. I'll try spraying one branch only twice next time.

You don't need to spray when you see well formed balls. I think you can spray on the leaves, but I wouldn't spray on the balls.
If the balls look good, I wouldn't spray anymore.

About the 100% germination rate:

So far I have been fortunate. Even the best seeds in the world do not all germinate.
I also only planted, fat, really good looking seeds so far.

I believe all my seeds have germinated so far for a few reasons:

-I hit the girls with pollen while the buds were forming and took out the shemale early enough so that no little "punk" seeds form. (punk=immature)
-I use Florlicious Plus with my fert (in coco).
I am a big fan of this stuff. I use it on my tomatoes and many non-cannabis plants.
-I let the plants go much longer than if I was just going for buds.
The trichomes were nearly 100% amber. This allows the seeds to fully form. Some seeds were falling out of the buds. Make sure to not let those go
to waste.
-I picked the best seeds to plant. I have a theory that fat seeds make better plants. It is a good thing I have about 2,000 fat seeds.

Again, if I can do this you can do this. I'm just a regular grower (my weed is the bomb, yes, but I am just a regular grower :-P )

If you can grow decent weed, you can produce your own seeds.

You do not have to infest a whole crop, you can spray a few branches and then remove them from the plant and room before the balls open. You put the branches in PHd water under 12/12 and collect the pollen. Then you can paint it on the buds you want seeded. (mark the branch with the variety if you use more than one kind of pollen, I use twist ties)

Remember seeds need around 4 weeks to fully form (It may be slightly less for autos)

edit

Floralicious Plus is about $55 a quart. Don't let that scare you. The directions say 1 ml per gallon. Unless google is full of it, that means you can mix 946 gallons with 1 quart.

I foliar feed some of my outside plants with Floralicious plus, just make sure to not hit any flowers (corn, tomato, flowers on shrubs...)

My Rose of Sharon was starting to yellow, sprayed it down with floralicious plus and it was green the next day.

Floralicious Plus does affect PH, but so do all kick ass supplements.

Nice thread snoops, I didn't even know you could do this with an auto. Saw some of this elsewhere much earlier this yr.
I've been trying for a while now to fem up my fav clone. She's a Maui-Wowie special pheno, I'm currently running the great, great, great, great, great, great, great, ........ granddaughter. Tried to hermi and collect, no go, she would have none of that. Tried store bought CS sprayed every day starting last wk of veg and continued for 22 days into 12/12 (29 days total) and finally got some balls. I stopped the spraying, (I ran out of CS) and she went back to the female side. (More info HERE if you want to know)

Anyways I'm trying again with homemade CS (this looks alot cleaner) I am spraying everyday again, but instead of soaking the whole plant, I'm just hitting the flower sites.
So when you say spray, are you talking about a total soak (like with neem oil) or a specific mist.
My plants looked alot more abused with the CS treatment than yours, by the end did Your's look like warmed over death?

Last grow I crossed my MW with 3 different strains grown in HI to get some reg crosses but I still want fems of this pheno. Here's a pic of the last mom cut 1/3/12, she's outdoors now this was shot day 15 of showing flower, the new clones for new mom don't look that great (taken too far into flower change, but not showin') Would love a fresh genetic start, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Nice thread snoops
snoopster was banned by that asshole pasaio for asking why a thread was deleted. He didn't want to admit a mistake, so he banned me.
It is their site, if they want to be douchebags that is their hot mess.

The first plant I sprayed the whole thing, twice a day. It was stunted and looked scraggly, but it put out a ton of pollen. The problem with spraying the whole plant is that it didn't have a chance to self pollinate as there were really no good bud sites. I tried drying and freezing some of it. I will see if it works on the next auto batch.

I have been spraying just one branch on some regular plants. I probably should have sprayed more, but I wanted them to self. i used a piece of cardboard to keep the spray off of other branches.

I'm going to make another seed batch using two regular clones. I think this will work well.

I'll get two clones and veg them for a week or so then start spraying one. I will spray that clone on half of more of the plant (the shemale).
7-10 days after spraying I will switch to 12/12 BUT take the unsprayed clone and put it in a different veg room under about 16 hours of light.
After a week or so I will bring the unsprayed back and put it with the shemale in 12/12.

The spray stunts the plant a bit. Giving it an extra week in 12/12 should help even it out.

Thanks for the info Trousers. I'm already committed to the whole plant spray, I did learn from the 1st spraying to give the silver girl a wk 12/12 head start. I would have never thought to just spray a portion of the plant to have it self itself, I guess I'd be worried about the caustic nature of the CS effecting the rest of the plant.

I'll be following your thread, and I'll chime in later to let you know how mine turns out this time.

I have two regulars going right now. I sprayed 1 branch on one and 2 on the other. The balls are starting to form. The plants look completely normal (for t5 plants) except the lowest branches have balls.

I'll try to get some pics up after coffee

Here are some pics from my regular plants.
I am probably too late to pollinate most of my outdoor plants, but I'll give it a shot. Next year I will start regular shemales for outdoor pollination in late June.

I should get a bunch of seeds from self pollination. I plan on drying and freezing some of the pollen for later.

Blueberry on the left, Island Sweet Skunk on the right - ISS really likes to stretch

ISS balls. I only sprayed one branch, the lowest one. There are some hairs too. I only sprayed once a day and only 1-2 spritzes with cardboard to block the other branches. You can see the colloidal silver residue on the leaves.

SLH

It is not perfectly stable, I saw two phenos.
One was slightly darker but pretty similar.
Both yielded really well.

I crossed them with Lowryder2 because that is one of the most stable autos I know of and I wanted slightly shorter plants.

As soon as I can get around to it I'll do another seed crop with SLH as the shemale times all my previous crosses.
